Great apartment to come back to after a day of sightseeing. A short walk into Peyia which is a steep hillclimb back.

Filthy, poorly presented and awful customer service

After arriving into Paphos late, we were eager to get to the apartment. The poor directions however delayed us doing so as we got lost serval times. When finally reaching the apartment at 01:00, the key box wouldn't open, we tried multiple times before finally calling Fay.

When Fay arrived, she didn't introduce herself and wasn't in the slightest apologetic. She gave us the spare key and said someone would be round tomorrow to fix the box.

Once finally getting into the apartment, we realised it was absolutely filthy. There was hair everywhere, in the bath, toilet, on the sink, on the bed linen next to the towels. The bathroom was disgusting with stains and bits on the toilet, toothpaste splatters all in the sink and on the glass shelf, dirt everywhere, about 10 used bottles of shampoo, shower gel, sun cream etc. just left there, used loo roll which was near enough towards the end of the roll.

The bedroom didn't improve. The glass on the dressing table hadn't been wiped down, there was hair on the bed linen, the bed was made with just a sheet thrown over the top of it. It looked nothing like the photos.

The Kitchen was dirty with used dish cloths just left rather than being thrown away. The lounge area was horrible, none of the sides had been wiped down, really poorly swept out, the rugs needed either a good hoover, throwing away or being swept then banged outside. Also looked nothing like the photos, very poorly presented.

So after this we thought we would get Wi-Fi to look for somewhere else to stay. Well this was also unsuccessful as there was absolutely no welcome pack/information guide...literally nothing! We tried the password on the back of the box but it didn't work.

The following morning I made a call to Fay to request the property was cleaned. The cleaner came and did what we asked but it was still awful. She also gave us a Wi-Fi password but it didn't work. We had to make a trip to Lidl's to buy cleaning products then to McDonald's to get Wi-Fi so we could contact fay. We finally received a working Wi-Fi password a good day after we had arrived.

As there was no information pack, we didn't know where was good to eat, visit, shop, what the area was like, emergency numbers and most importantly we weren't even told where the pool was! We had a walk around and couldn't see it so we emailed Fay again and she told us.

Very, very poor management and customer service skills. We do not go on holiday to expect to clean the apartment!

Owner's Response: Quite clearly looking for compensation! Which won't be happening. This apartment is rented all through the year and we have never received a bad review. You only have to look at our vast array of other properties and their reviews. Pity the apartment wasn't left in very good order by yourselves! Still we sorted that. I'm not a Disney customer service person who says one thing and means another. I say it how it is, just like you claim too. Shame it's taken so long to do a review, has your suntan now faded?

Comfortable apartment with a great patio

The property is great for a holiday. Great views brilliant patio area and everything you need. If you want the beach though a car or taxi are advisable its a 3 hour strole each way. A taxi to Coral Bay is only 10 euros.

History, culture, architecture, excellent food, good entertainment and tradition are all here in Paphos, not forgetting around 330 days of wall to wall sunshine. Flights now coming in from all over Europe even in the winter. All sorts of places to explore, the buzzing tourist areas of Kato Paphos, Tomb of the Kings and Coral Bay, tranquil villages to amble through like Emba, Chloraka, Tala, Kissonerga. Drive out to the Troodos mountain area, passing through many interesting places on route.If you want a more cosmopolitan day out drive along to Limassol or may be Larnaca. These built up city areas are on the coast and offer a different style of living in Cyprus.

Peyia, dating back many years, is set on the hillsides above Coral Bay, 15km north-west of Paphos.<BR><BR>The centre of the village still holds onto its very traditional Cypriot style, stone built houses, the locals sipping coffee outside on the pavements, the narrow streets where once only donkies passed through.There are modern tavernas and cafe bars, plenty of supermarkets, banks and stores for all your holiday essentials.There are many places to eat, whether you are looking for traditional fayre or fast food. Savvas grill a local Cypriot taverna offering a fantastic selection of traditional food. The Grande Cafe is very relaxed and is set in a courtyard, with comfy seating, basic menu, and you can also catch up with your emails here or let the kids play on the computer games. Peyia is also very popular for wedding ceremonies, with many taking place at the town hall on a daily basis.
