4 bed farm house, 2 bathrooms, stunning views onto weir and countryside

Ideal 4 bed farm house situated in the Somerset countryside. 1 acre of land, large House with 3 bedrooms on the top floor and 1 teenage den/4th bedroom on ground floor to accommodate 1. 3 bedrooms consist of 1 double with en suite bathroom, 1 twin or double and 1 double. 2 large gardens front and back leading to fenced weir and stables leading to paddock (occupied with sheep). Stunning views onto fields and farms far and beyond with a willow tree at the bottom of the garden. Extended wifi has been installed and sophisticated Audio Visual allows TV's in sitting room and teenage den to access apple and netflix accounts. Ipad in kitchen control Farm House spotify in kitchen allowing as much music choices as you wish, this extends to dining room and outside garden speakers (kept to a minimum). The house is in a quiet area of farmland with a Red barn farm shop only 40 yards away ! Quiet walks are through farm fields and a 'day on the farm' or half day is offered to guests on one of the farms at a special rate. 10 minutes from the A303 and Sherborne, also 45 minutes from Bath, Jurassic coast and Stonehenge, you are on the border of Dorset so can enjoy access to all the west and coast. If you want a peaceful holiday and not want to travel far away then this is the place. There is plenty of land and the Farm House is large to accommodate 7 adults plus children. There is accommodation for horses with two stables and a pony stable.

I loved this property as it was in a quiet part of Somerset yet close to Yeovil and Sherborne. We had never been to Somerset until we purchased this place and found the people and the farming community to be the most hospitable people we had ever met.

What makes this house unique

We loved the cottage especially as all thatched cottages were darker yet this offered a much brighter house. Also the views, space, garden and paddock that came with it (now let out to a sheep farmer).

Wonderful

We had a gorgeous family stay 22nd-26th February. This cottage is amazing, welcoming and so comfortable. Great walking, pubs and places to visit. Please could the owner contact us asap (as we cannot contact them through the site) as my mother in law left something behind of great sentimental value and we would dearly love to have it back. We will be back to stay next year as it was so special.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location

A charmingly beautiful house with all the trimmings. A perfect blend of classic 18th century thatched farm house with all the modern technology you could need. Super fast broadband meaning we could happily stream multiple fire sticks which meant the kids were extremely happy! The oil fired aga was a dream and cooked the perfect breakfasts and dinners. An amazing garden and not so little island for the dog to fully enjoy as if in the fields. Large and comfy rooms but sticking to the classic theme and the beds were just as comfy too. Lots of rickety and uneven floors which simple are authentic for the age of this farm house.

A truly fabulous house which feels like it's in the middle of nowhere but in fact is so close to everything it's very handy. Great little farm shop 50meters up the road.

Beautiful cottage, nice welcome with am arrival basket. Lovely picturesque setting.

We arrived to a welcome basket complete with some lovely treats. The cottage is beautiful with really moden touches and in a lovely little village. This was the perfect setting for our relaxing girls weekend away. Thank you so much to Jeremy and team for making this a lovely weekend. We would love to make it a yearly event.

Comfortable and quiet property

The property is gorgeous and was very comfortable for our party of 3 couples. Warm, equipped to a high standard and lovely bathrooms. The farm shop round the corner is great for essentials but Jeremy provided a very generous welcome pack on arrival. Great communication prior to arrival and Christine was waiting for us on arrival to show us around. A fantastic weekend. Pub within walking distance.

Lovely cottage in an excellent location; very accommodating

The cottage had everything we needed; we especially loved being able to have open fires and BBQs whenever. The rooms were impeccable and the kitchen was great for cooking in, especially the 4 oven aga! It's a great location for exploring the local area like bath etc. An addition of a guide to local walks in the instructions would be great but we had an amazing time! We shall be back!
