Ideal 4 bed farm house situated in the Somerset countryside. 1 acre of land, large House with 3 bedrooms on the top floor and 1 teenage den/4th bedroom on ground floor to accommodate 1. Super fast broadband has been installed throughout the Farm House on both floors. 3 bedrooms consist of 1 double with en suite bathroom, 1 twin or double and 1 double. 2 large gardens front and back leading to fenced weir and stables leading to paddock (occupied with sheep). Stunning views onto fields and farms far and beyond with a willow tree at the bottom of the garden. With the extended wifi there is sophisticated Audio Visual which allows TV's in sitting room and teenage den to access apple and netflix accounts. Ipad in kitchen control Farm House spotify in kitchen allowing as much music choices as you wish, this extends to dining room and outside garden speakers (kept to a minimum). The house is in a quiet area of farmland with a Red barn farm shop only 40 yards away ! Quiet walks are through farm fields and a 'day on the farm' or half day is offered to guests on one of the farms at a special rate. 10 minutes from the A303 and Sherborne, also 45 minutes from Bath, Jurassic coast and Stonehenge, you are on the border of Dorset so can enjoy access to all the west and coast. If you want a peaceful holiday and not want to travel far away then this is the place. There is plenty of land and the Farm House is large to accommodate 7 adults plus children. There is accommodation for horses with two stables and a pony stable.

Why jeremy mulford chose Yeovil

I loved this property as it was in a quiet part of Somerset yet close to Yeovil and Sherborne. We had never been to Somerset until we purchased this place and found the people and the farming community to be the most hospitable people we had ever met.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We loved the cottage especially as all thatched cottages were darker yet this offered a much brighter house. Also the views, space, garden and paddock that came with it (now let out to a sheep farmer).

Lovely cottage, great size, excellent features

We were 6 adults and 1 dog staying for 4 nights in this lovely, well maintained and modernised cottage that still has plenty of charm. Location is quiet and the surroundings are lovely (fields, sheep, paths to walk).

The house has been lovingly refurbished without removing too much of the original features which means access to two excellent working fireplaces.

The lounge comfortably seats 6 or more and each bedroom is a good size. Both the ensuite bathroom and main bathroom are great.

The kitchen is large with plenty of room for the whole family to gather whilst cooking around the Aga (an standard oven is also available).

The garden is a great size and would be fantastic for summer time.

Internet connectivity was a touch spotty during our stay but this is not the fault of the owners or the technology they have installed (which is high quality and well up for great coverage throughout the house), this was BT’s issue during the weekend. Add to this the Sonos system controlled by the iPad in the kitchen (or from your phone if you already have your own setup at home), the multiple smart TVs and the ping pong table in the garage and you’re set for just about every eventuality.

10/10 on this place would not only stay again but would probably buy it too.

Great Country House - perfect for a family getaway

Arrived to find a warm farmhouse kitchen and all the creature comforts you take for granted at home. High quality throughout - from the TVs and Sonos sound system through to the fittings and finishings. Great location for visiting Somerset/Dorset - only 10 mins from Yeovil/Sherborne and 45mins to the coast (Chesil Beach or Lyme Regis). Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

Superior accommodations in beautiful setting--every amenity we needed, plus some!

We chose this property because of its proximity to a family wedding venue. Just wish we could have spent more time enjoying the ambience of the house and its surroundings which exceeded all our expectations. We didn't have time for much cooking, but the kitchen is amazing, stocked with everything you might need. Grounds are beautiful; bedrooms very comfortable; lovely welcome basket of goodies upon our late-night arrival. Trevor and Christine, the property managers, were so easy to work with. This will be our first choice of accommodation next time we have plans in this part of the UK!!! Thank you to Jeremy and Sarah for your attention to every detail in the farmhouse that made our all-too-short stay memorable.

If one wants to stay at a house with total comfort in every room, with stunning views from every window, with two perfectly functioning fireplaces, a super equipped kitchen with an AGA stove, with Spotify providing any type of music one wishes to hear, TVs with numerous channels, quiet lane scenic walks just out the door, complete quiet, a classy farm shop a few meters up the road, outdoor BBQ & dining, red glow sunsets over picturesque haystacks nearby, long eyelashed cows in picturesque fields, etc., a fun pub around the corner,then this is the place to stay. We have rented over 20 differrent houses in the UK and France and this is the best one yet.
