Overview

About the property

Idyllic Quiet Cottage (10 mins Bristol)

This truly stunning, very secluded two bedroom cottage boasts a south facing garden overlooking the delightful valley with footpaths leading directly from your front door.

The spacious bathroom boasts a characterful roll top Victorian bath and a separate shower. With new mattresses on the beds and top quality appliances you are sure to feel like this is home from home. Only 12 minutes drive from Clifton and ten minutes from Bristol airport, the cottage is exceptionally quiet with no traffic and hardly any aircraft noise.

There is evidence of the building's original magnificent features dating back to the 1500s, such as the exposed beams and Elizabethan windows. The mixture of modern and traditional makes this home truly unique.

This cottage would be ideal for families or couples who prefer the luxury of the city nearby but enjoy the seclusion of the countryside.

Please note this cottage is an ideal place for people who want to switch off from their busy lives and simply listen to birdsong as there is no TV, although there is WiFi.

A lovely cosy cottage, spotlessly clean and clearly loved by its owner.

  • 5 of 5

We had a really enjoyable weekend. The cottage was chocolate box perfect and suited our pre-Christmas weekend shopping get together. Just a short drive to the Long Ashton Park and Ride, the property gives a great blend of easy access to Bristol, and all it offers, while being in an attractive rural village with a friendly pub.

The cottage feels very loved and the owner makes a real effort to ensure that visitors feel at home. It was spotlessly clean and yet felt cosy and snug. Some of us wanted to move in permanently!

A perfect escape!

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend to attend a family wedding. Lynn's communication prior to the stay was comprehensive and helpful and it was a pleasure to meet her on arrival. The cottage provided us with everything we needed. Everything was spotless, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The charming garden borders open fields and is a haven for all sorts of birds. It is a short walk from the car park to the cottage, which is tucked away at the back of the village. If you're returning after dark-bring a torch. Although this was not a problem for us, it's worth noting that when guests are not here, Lynn's dog lives in the cottage. We walked to the Princes Motto, the village pub. The food was excellent and the company lively and convivial. This cottage provides home comforts and a chance to enjoy the peace of this lovely place.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the stay so much. Torch is in the porch hung up. Just to clarify the dog does not live in the cottage when it is let out to guests.

Beautiful cottage and very good communication

  • 5 of 5

Everything went brilliant. The cottage is in a very nice setting. The village is small, but lovely.

Even though we didn't have a chance to meet Lynn, communication and instructions were excellent.

Would highly recommend.

Nice quiet cottage in a pleasant location convenient for Bristol and the airport.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well presented. I booked late, but this didn't seem to detract from the service. Good instructions on how to find the property and the owner was happy to answer my queries.
