This all year round holiday home with its own walled garden and pool is situated in the small village of Benamahoma (an aldea of Grazalema)in a quiet area rural area, while offering relaxing outside spaces and privacy it is just a short walk to the local shops and restaurants. Besides an Ideal summer holiday spot the surrounding National Park of Grazalema offers all year round activities walking, mountain climbing, caving, bird watching, a fantastic selection of flora and fauna.
The detached home sleeps up to 6 people + 2 extra people in foldaway beds if required. On the ground floor there is the living area with open fireplace, comfortable sofas and a small library. The independent delightful kitchen is well equipped and has a separate pantry area and good storage. There are three double bedrooms, one with a double, one with a 2 singles and the principal room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. All the bedrooms have built in cupboards and large windows to the exterior. The ground floor also has a bathroom, air-conditioning in the living area and the principal bedroom.
On the first floor one finds a comfortable room with chimney and lounge sitting with windows offering views of the surrounding mountains, a special place to relax, study, read or paint.
Outside there is a porch, ideal for dining and taking in the views. The two sunny terraces and the swimming pool, 8m x 4m ( with salt water filter system) are equipped with sun lounges and a pergola, ideal for enjoying the sunset.
The house has a fireplace and wood burning stove ideal for the late autumn and early spring months. There is air-conditioning in the living area and the main bedroom, all the windows have mosquito blinds. There is a washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV and towels and bed linen are provided. There is private garage parking within the property.
Benamahoma is a small village at the heart of the protected Park Sierra de Grazalema. The park is renowned for it wildlife Flora and Fauna and a beautiful landscape
The village offers various traditional festivals such as the “Moros y Cristianos” and a good local gastronomy, including local game, local olive oil and wines.
In Benamahoma the spring wáter is famous for its purity and there is a great river walk to the next village, along the way you will find a museum showing the life and times of the millers and the watermills in the area. It is also a good base for many walks in the natural Park including “ el Pinsapar” where you pass through a enormous wood perched on the north side of the mountain el Torreon whose trees are the oldest in Europe.
Autumn and Spring and the Winter months are the best dates for a walking holiday, horse riding, hand gliding, climbing and cycling, where as in July and August one can enjoy relaxing times at the pool and evening in the bars
Less an hour away is the famous town of jerez de la Frontera, famous for its horse displays, Flamenco and sherry Bodegas. A liitle further thereare the coastal towns of Cadiz, Conil etc with beautiful beaches and a bit further the capital of Andalucia, Sevilla.
There are 4 main airports, Malaga, jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla and Gibraltar.
