Modern apartment in private complex - walking distance of centre of Funchal

This beautiful, modern apartment offers a great location to explore Madeira whilst being very close to the centre of Funchal. The apartment is set away from the main road overlooking an internal courtyard and pool complex. The marble floored lounge/dining area is spacious and airy, with a large television screen with cable television and Wifi. Patio doors lead from the dining area to the balcony, which overlooks the pool. The balcony has a glass topped table and seating for four so that you can enjoy alfresco dining. The pool area has loungers for your use.

The main bedroom is spacious, with a king sized bed and an en-suite modern bathroom with bath and shower facilities. The second bedroom is also spacious and has two single beds. Both bedrooms have ample cupboard facilities and a heater and fan are provided in each bedroom. Modern second bathroom with shower.

The kitchen is well equipped with microwave oven, glass topped stove and oven (all Gaggenau models), and dishwasher, as well as having a laundry section. There is secure parking within the complex.

Use maybe made of the Gym in the complex (subject to a small insurance fee). The location is quiet and in a very sought after development. Only 25 minutes by car from the airport it can also be easily be reached by the AirPort Link bus. The seafront at Funchal is within walking distance as are the theatre, cafes & restaurants.
Local buses stop outside apartment complex.

Lovely, quiet apartment

Lovely apartment. Unfortunately we had a couple of problems being met at the apartment and then problems with the keys but Antonio was very quick to sort these out. The apartment itself is lovely in a quiet area. You don't get the sun until later in the afternoon on the balcony, but as we were out the majority of the time this wasn't a problem. Its a shame that the pool isn't heated as it would have been nice to have a swim after a day out. As others have said it is up quite a steep hill. This wasn't a problem for us and it just meant that we walked off our food and drink of an evening! We did like the location as it wasn't really in a tourist area, it was an easy walk into town - turn left at the bottom of the hill for the old town and right for the marina. If we returned to Funchal we would stay again.

Faultless apartment

Hard to pick any fault with this great apartment. Clean, spacious, fully equipped with everything from ironing board and hair dryer to coffee maker. Great kitchen. Generous number of towels for both the bathrooms and the pool... and speaking of the pool, it's clean, well-maintained, and visible from the balcony so you can time your visits to mix with others or have the place to yourself. Handy little mini-market just down the street, an easy walk into the centre of Funchal. There are maps, guide books and an apartment handbook, and Tony took the time and trouble to give us an introduction on arrival.

Our family stay

The property was lovely. Within a short walk in to the town centre. The only thing to be aware of are the hills, but the hill back to the property got easier as the week went on. Don’t be put off by this as taxis are very reasonably priced. Tony was very accommodating with lots of information when we arrived. We will definitely be returning to Madeira!

Lovely apartment with excellent facilities

We really enjoyed our stay at Tony's apartment. It's a beautiful place that has everything you need. The pool is great and although we didn't use it ourselves, the gym looks good too. It is located approx 10 mins walk from the old town in a quiet area. Be aware that coming back from town it is quite a tough walk up hill. Taxis are cheap though, we paid less than 5 euros from the sea front. Tony is an excellent host and provided everything we needed to know before our arrival. He met us to check us in and gave us plenty of information about the local area. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Tony's apartment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Funchal
