About the property

Ideal for a quiet holiday and as a basis to discover Andalusia.

The finca

Situated in the Natural Park Sierra Norte, but at the same time within walking distance from the village (400m), you get the best of both worlds. Peace and quiet of nature without depending on a car for everything. The large garden with lots of green makes it unique compared to other houses in the area.

The main house

The house has been decorated with care. It has a living room with a fireplace with beautiful views at the garden and the pool. The large kitchen is designed to make cooking a social event. You can of course also cook outside using the barbecue or the paella set.

There is a double bedroom downstairs and a bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms. A bathroom with toilet, shower and bath tub.

In the additional building there are four additional double bedrooms, each with its en-suite bathroom with shower.

Outside

The garden is 9,000 m2 large, with a lovely green lawn that refreshes in summer. There are different types of fruit trees and flowers almost all year round. The remainder of the finca has a surface of 5 hectares and consists of mainly chestnut trees and almond trees.

About Maarten Hoogstraate

We are a Dutch-Spanish family and have lived in Spain for over 10 years. We bought the house in 2015 and did a major renovation and refurbishment. We enjoy the house ourselves as much as we can with family and friends and look forward to receiving guests who will feel at home and treat the house like their own.

Amazing, Beautiful 5 Star Villa

We Couldn't of Asked for More! The house was furnished so well, to a high standard & thought through with Guests in mind. The character of the house remains & adds an extra layer of Beauty too.

The grounds are amazing with so much space for the Kids to be free. The property was well looked after during our stay too, the pool guy cleaning it every morning & the grounds being watered & even a house clean too during our stay which was very welcome.

Local amenities are really close & the locals very friendly & helpful. Nice restaurants/bars/ ice cream bars & shops all within walking distance.

Words really don't describe how beautiful & special this villa is!

The owners are extremely helpful & nothing seemed to be a issue for them. If your looking at this Villa Book U won't be disappointed. 10/10

A lovely home in peaceful surroundings

The house and its amenities are of a very high standard and exactly as described and shown on the website. We were at La Escribana with a family party consisting of 3 generations and all had a great time. Everything, inside and out, was spotless. There are a lot of walks nearby and further away. Seville and Cordoba under 2 hours driving away. In Constantina itself there are restaurants, bars, supermarket, bakery, pharmcy etc. There is a restored castle on a hill overlooking the town. The owners are very helpful.

Geweldig vakantiehuis!

Wow, wat een geweldig plek! We (gezin met 3 kinderen) hebben genoten van ons verblijf! Het huis is zeer ruim en met smaak gerenoveerd en ingericht. Door de enorm dikke muren blijft het huis ook bij erg warm weer heerlijk koel. In het huis zijn boven 3 grote slaapkamers en een badkamer met allemaal een geweldig uitzicht. Beneden is in een af te sluiten deel van het huis nog een slaapkamer met badkamer. De woonkamers en keuken zijn prachtig ingericht en schoon. Je voelt je meteen thuis. In het bijgebouw zijn nog 4 zelfstandige appartementen bij te huren. Ook allemaal goed ingericht, schoon en voorzien van alle gemakken.

De omliggende tuin is werkelijk idyllisch mooi. Een groene oase met zwembad, bomen en enorme grasvelden. De tuin is zo groot dat we er pas na een paar dagen achter kwamen dat er ook een vaste BBQ stond. De Hazelnoot-boomgaard buiten de omheining bleek er ook nog bij te horen en in de bosrand vonden de kinderen een boomhut! Wat een avontuur.

Het terrein heeft een ruime parkeerplaats en is afgesloten met een stalen hek. Na een paar honderd meter onverharde weg (geen 4x4 nodig) rij of loop je het centrum van Constantina al in. Dat bleek een hardstikke leuk plaatsje met veel winkels, barretjes en typisch Andalusische restaurantjes waar we elke avond voor een prikkie hebben gegeten tussen de Spanjaarden, want de rest van Europa heeft dit nog niet ontdekt!

We komen zeker terug!
