The large (11.5m X 5m X 2m max. depth) heated swimming pool is open from May to September inclusive. Roman steps give ease of access and sun loungers are positioned on the large surrounding patio. The pool area is fenced and access via a locking gate. The pool is in a secluded position and flanked on three sides by a sweeping lawn with woodland beyond.

Couetilliec is perfect for families as you will find lots to see and do at the many local attractions or sit back and enjoy the peace and tranquillity in the heated swimming pool, extensive lawns, woodland and meadow. Couetilliec is at the end of a country lane with no passing traffic and absolutely no road noise so everybody can relax and play in safety. It is also a great place if you like an abundance of fauna and flora. We have seen red squirrel, deer, badgers, foxes, buzzards, owls and woodpeckers. There are many ancient pollarded trees and most are smothered in an array of mosses, lichens and ferns. With zero light pollution it's also a great place for a spot of star gazing. If you are keen photographer or artist the opportunities are endless and if you enjoy cycling check out our Brittany Cycle Tours website.

Why Carl Foster chose Persquen

We simply adore the rolling Morbihan countryside, its beautiful meandering rivers set in verdant valleys and its glorious coastline with the right blend of long sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, beautiful estuaries and quaint harbours. The gastronomic delights of Brittany are on your doorstep: crepes, galetts, beurre moule, cidre, beer (the wine's not bad either) and an abundance of fresh fish and shellfish. Boulangeries with their array of breads and mouthwatering patisseries. As well as the sense of space, peace and tranquillity all make for a more relaxed way of life.

Fantastic property very well looked after

  • 5 of 5

A lovely place in a great setting. Loads of space for the kids to explore. Our boy made friends with kids from the other cottages and they loved it in the woods that are part of the property. There is the added bonus of bike hire on site and Carl the ounner was very helpful with a drop off and pick up service for our family ride. Would have no problem in booking it again.

Lovely traditional stone gite

  • 5 of 5

Sympathetically renovated, traditional gite well appointed internally with lots of character.Well prepared for our arrival. Beautiful mature woodland setting. Lots of advice and ideas from the owner about places to visit, walks and cycle rides. We walked and cycled to our hearts content. The Blavet tow path was an excellent day out. Ideal setting to de-stress, Closest amenities a car drive away. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Happy Memories!

  • 5 of 5

Couetilliec is in a good location with plenty to see within the local area, but to be honest it was so easy to relax in the grounds we spent a lot of our time at the cottage.

The local village Inguiniel is about 3 miles away, which we took it in turns to cycle to for treats from the patisserie; it also has a mini-supermarket if you run out of any essentials. The nearest supermarkets and petrol stations are 8 to 9 miles away at Ploauy or Guemene-sur-Scorff. There are some good sized markets nearby (Hennebont and Pontivy), and Josselin is a nice historic town to visit (about 1 hrs drive). The coast isn't too far either, with a good choice of sandy beaches or bays with rock-pools to explore.

The cottage itself was spacious, comfortable and clean. It has a rear garden that can be reached from the upper level of the cottage, which although open to a shared path that leads to the pool, provides a fairly sizeable private area (plenty big enough for us to set up a badminton net for the children). The pool area is fenced off and accessed by a lockable gate. The rest of the grounds are great with a good mix of open lawn for the children to play in and woodland to explore.

The owners Carl and Belinda were very friendly and approachable, good knowledge of the local area - places to eat, good markets etc.

All-in-all it was a great place to stay and enjoy time together as a family.

Environnement à la hauteur de l'accueil

  • 5 of 5
