5 bedrooms ( 3 rooms with double beds, and 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each)

Located in the heaven of the East Neuk of Fife, in the pretty seaside village of Lower Largo. This village is home to the fictional character of Robinson Crusoe and has an interesting history behind it. It's local amenities include The Crusoe Hotel and corner shop and post office.

The Haven is a charming and beautifully situated house with 5 bedrooms ( 3 double and 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each) and 4 bathrooms including 1 en-suite. It can comfortably sleep up to 10 people. It is perfect for a family get together, and it is well positioned for local access yet is very quiet and peaceful. The open plan kitchen and diner seats 10 and is fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher, gas hob, fan oven, fridge freezer with ice dispenser and coffee maker. The utility room has a washer drier. The fantastic conservatory that opens onto the decking allows for a panoramic view of the beach, coast line and stunning sea views- from here you can hear the waves lapping!

The walled garden with decking and grass has a seating area and a gate and steps down to the beach.

The Haven is a great base for exploring this wonderful coastline, it is only 15 minutes from the picturesque and bustling town of St Andrews and also on our doorstep are some of the oldest and top rated golf courses.

About The Owner

I am married to Gary and I am a mum to three grown up boys. I am also a part time Nursery teacher. We have spent many lovely holidays on the Fife coast, especially Lower Largo and the East Neuk of Fife and know the area well

The Owner purchased this house in 2010

Why The Owner chose Lower Largo

We fell in love with this house and its large bay windows which give superb panoramic views of the sea. Its location is second to none.... the joy of stepping out the back door onto the beach has allowed us to spend lazy summer days watching the sailing boats and walking along the coast and equally during the winter months enjoying the stormy sea from the warmth of the conservatory.

What makes this house unique

With its 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and upstairs large den room it is the perfect home to meet up with friends and gather families together.

Beautiful beach house

Well appointed, really well equipped, spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Had a lovely week with direct access to the beach (struggled to drag the children away) and a lovely suntrap of a garden so we didn't all have to get covered in sand. The village was lovely with a very quiet beach and direct access to the coastal path and disused railway line and the weather was kind. Very calm and relaxing week and wouldn't hesitate to go back to the house again.

Great place to explore

We were an extended family group with 2 children staying for a week. The house was lovely - right on the beach. Well equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of places to explore nearby and you are only just over an hour from Edinburgh. Nearby Elie is beautiful with good restaurants.

The hotel in the village was very accommodating when we arrived late and we had a nice meal there.

Couple of things about the house. The room with the twin beds is only really suitable for kids as the beds are springy and uncomfortable. The bathroom next to the twin could do with a mirror - tricky to shave!

There is very limited parking close to the house , although this wasn't really a problem , we managed to park in the disabled bay outside to load and unload and then used the car park at the end of the village which was safe and only a short walk back to the house (along the beach if the tide is out)

All in all we had a lovely week in a lovely house. Thank you!

A fantastic location for a family gathering of 10 from 2 to 94.

The house is well equiped with everything you need from kitchen to buckets and spades on the beach. The bedrooms are large and the beds comfy. Fab views of the sea from the front bedrooms. Downstairs bedroom and shower room good for great granny. Lots of hot water and central heating. We would all go back.

Great location; Great Views; Great Facilities; Great house.

Organised a 3 generation Xmas with family members coming from all corners of the UK. Had a great time.

House was exactly as described with stunning views from the conservatory over the Firth. House was clean, well-furnished, in good order with everything we needed on tap. We even had enough hot water not to need to squabble over the bathrooms....

Owner was there to make us feel welcome and show us around. Lot of nice little touches like games for the kids (and grown-ups) too.

Given we were there when Hurricane Barbara was blowing we didn't get out too much - the Pub and walking on the beach (Steps down from the back garden - when the tide was out and the Firth wasn't lapping the wall) was about the limit - but that only meant we could enjoy the House more.

Only slight downside is limited parking - but we managed to find somewhere within walking distance for all 3 cars so not a problem.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lot of classy, well-kept accommodation in a spectacular spot less than an hour from Edinburgh.
