Lovely little house!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed over in the property with my friend, the house is lovely and full of character. Its a 2 minute walk right into the centre of Ilkley where there are lots of really nice restaurants, pubs and boutiques. The house is a short drive or about a 15 minute walk up to the Cow and Calf Rocks where you can see fantastic views over the valley and walk for miles on the moor. When you are finished your walk on Ilkley Moor Bah'Tat there is a cosy pub/ restaurant just over the road where you can enjoy a Sunday Roast or any other fresh food that the pub has to offer. Would highly recommend this house as it is in a perfect setting as Ilkley is the gateway to the dales. Looking forward to going again.

lovely clean modern house. lovely area but a few vital things missing.

  • 3 of 5

A house for four with a fully equipped kitchen should have a dining table and chairs. We had to eat off our laps on sofas. No oven gloves. No tea towels except one small terry towel.which I stained using as an oven glove.

Wash-up sponge provided was old and chewed up. No coasters provided for new wooden coffee table or bedside tables. No instructions for coffee machine, microwave or tv. Bath taps very large, angular and blocking entry to bath as next to fixed shower screen. We found it difficult to get in and out of the bath (though fit and agile)- potentially dangerous for some...

It would be nice to have one mirror in at least one bedroom.

That's all the bad stuff.

The house is in a brilliant position in a small, peaceful development very handy for the centre of Ilkley. We had a great holiday - just really needed a dining table. Perhaps you should mention absence of this in house description as most people would assume there'd be one.

Fantastic house in a fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was fantastic. It had everything and more than we needed. The boys particularly enjoyed the smart TV. The beds were incredibly comfortable, powerful shower and well equipped kitchen. Not that we cooked much as there was a great range of pubs/ restaurants in walking distance. Ilkley is a beautiful town. We didn't need to use the car while we were there as there were amazing walks right on the doorstep. Would highly recommend this property and definitely go back. It was a fabulous break.

Cosy house in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with family for our two night visit to Ilkley. It's a lovely, cosy little house with everything you need. Newly decorated, clean and fresh, a real home from home. Location-wise it couldn't be better, with the moors and the town centre both just a 5 minute walk away - slightly longer on the way back from town (uphill). Contact with the owners was friendly and prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The perfect place for a getaway.

The picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley, at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales. The former spa town rose to fame in the nineteenth century when thousands visited for the fresh invigorating air and first class hotels. The town may no longer be a premier health resort but it is still renowned for its fresh air, moorland and beautiful countryside with a selection of quality accommodation.

The town is famous for its moor and throughout the town there is a passion for the outdoors. They are proud to be a Walkers are Welcome town, due to its fantastic countryside, walks for all abilities and its commitment to welcoming walkers. The town is also home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

Ilkley is the ideal place to relax and treat yourself. There are excellent restaurants and independent shops selling everything from gifts to vintage clothes and books. Enjoy afternoon tea at the famous Bettys Cafe and Tea Rooms or enjoy one of the many events which take place throughout the year.

There are a number of events through the year such as Ilkley Literature Festival, Ilkley Summer Festival and Ilkley Film Festival.

So go on why not visit and see for yourself.
