THE HOUSE:

A beautifully appointed house in a fantastic rural yet accessible setting, on a south facing slope with beautiful rural views in all directions. Very close to beaches, pubs and restaurants. Offering 3300 square feet of luxurious but relaxed accommodation.

Living Acccommodation:

2 large lounges, both with flat screen TV and comfortable furniture, and one having projection cinema with 8 foot screen and direct access to hot tub terrace.

Large kitchen diner with panoramic rural views and direct access to dining terrace. Secondary kitchen facility on lower ground floor.

Sleeping Accommodation:

8 Bedrooms all sleeping 2. 2 of the bedrooms has an additional sofa bed allowing the option of use as a family room. The property sleeps 20 plus 2 babies. Cot and travel cot are provided as required.

We have 6 Bath and Shower Rooms of which 3 are en suite.

There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor, one double/family, one twin, and a further double with space for cot, and 2 bathrooms with bath and shower, 1 of which is ensuite to the family room.

There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor one of which has an ensuite bathroom with shower over bath, as well as an additional bathroom. The ensuite room has a king size double bed and room for a cot, and two twin rooms have zip and link beds which can be combined to form a double.

The lower ground floor, which has its own entrance, has 2 bedrooms, one of which has a king sized double bed and ensuite bathroom. The other room has twin zip and link beds which can be arranged as 2 singles or as a double.

In addition to the 2 bedrooms, the lower ground floor has an additional kitchen with dishwasher which is at one end of the 32 foot cinema lounge.

This is in addition to the main kitchen on the ground floor which is the one designed for communal dining, as it has a table which can seat up to 18 in comfort.

OUTSIDE

1 acre garden with lovely rural views, south facing with path outside leading to coast path. 2 large terraces for dining, barbecuing or sunbathing, 1 with 7 person hot tub.

On the ground floor terrace immediately off the main kitchen is a table and chairs for 16 complete with large barbecue for outside dining with lovely view.

Maidencombe - Pretty cove beach 1km away with beach barbecue cafe' and Thatched Tavern pub with lovely beer garden.

The property is also well placed for exploring the whole South Devon coast and Dartmoor.

We are a local family with 4 boys, and the property was a much loved family home for 5 years.

Our other business is architectural design and art work, and we hope that this has enabled us to create a fun and attractive holiday environment at the house.

The property offers a fantastic combination of well appointed indoor and outdoor space. It provides a luxury environment which is however pared back so that people can feel relaxed.

It is ideally suited to large groups of family or friends, and is in a peaceful yet accessible location, with plenty to do both at the property and in the surrounding area, and is very close to local beaches, and to amenities such as the pretty estuary village of Shaldon with its renowned pubs and restaurants.

Beautiful home in a stunning location

Steve and Charlotte couldn’t have been more accommodating for our weekend which really helped settle us in. They are clearly very proud if their home and so they should be! It’s a big enough house that you don’t feel like you’re under each other’s feet all the time. The future plans for the property sound incredible, definitely enough to persuade me to book to go back again. We lived our stay, thanks again.

Amazing Group accomodation

Absolutely perfect place for a large group. We were 15 people and had more than enough indoor and outdoor space to socialise, eat and play together. Lots to do with hot tub, bbq, table tennis etc. Beautiful countryside and walking distance to a fantastic beach! Thank you so much, I can't recommend enough and will be back again!

Fabulous Holiday Home. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 2018 Easter Holiday at this property. Website photos do not convey the overall size and splendour of the home, which is beautiful, large and spacious. It has the appeal of being close to the beach and seaside towns but also the countryside with its beautiful peace and seclusion. On arrival the house was spotlessly clean. Lovely quality bed linen and towels in all rooms and a very special and welcomed large tray of chocolate chip brownies to accommodate us all. Thankyou Steve and family. Our party was 8 adults and 6 children with varying ages. The men were delighted to find the house also had Sky Sports, and the added bonus of the Disney channels for the children. Hot Tub was wonderful, we no issues or problems at all. Loved the fact that the outside space matched the inner space, we had a lovely family barbecue and fun with the table tennis table and basketball apparatus. The garden area and kids trampoline and swings were also great and well used. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked every evening and there is everything item of cooking utensils and bakeware to accommodate our family of 14, you also have a kitchen and fridge/freezer in the annexe area if you required more storage. The cinema projection screen was brilliant and we had a family film night with popcorn and treats.

There is lots to do locally and in the surrounding area. Very close to babbacombe model village, which is well worth a visit. We would definitely go back and would highly recommended this home and location to anyone.

Sheila's birthday bash.

You could not find a better large holiday home. (19 mixed aged, 65 -3 months) All photos give a true and up to date picture, and VERY clean. Well planed in side and out, home baked goods, tea coffee on arrival. Host very friendly and approachable. Great time had by all and many good memories. Would highly recommend and would book again. Ideal holiday no matter what the weather or time of year. First night everyone had own pre made dinner, Saturday night down the pub (great food, good service.) Sunday cooked breakfast followed by a roast, everyone helped out and spent quality time together. As all good times spent together over far to soon.

Fantastic property with lovely owners!

We've just left this fab property it has everything you need and some amazing views. Comfy beds lots of space and a fab hot tub. Plenty for all ages to do but also lots of room to relax as well. All 17 us from aged 18 months to 67 had a wonderful time. Steve was lovely and we had fresh homemade brownies left for us when we arrived. Will definitely be back!
