About JOAQUIN DURAN GARACH

We are a family of five and we live now in Brussels. I am a Spanish diplomat and we have been living in many countries.We own the property Casería de Milán since 1542 and has always been in the hands of the same family. The house is one of the few historic houses still in private hands. The house has been fully refourbished and with all the mod cons in kitchen and bathrooms. The gardens and the swimming pool are unique

Casería de Milán is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy the real atmosphere of Granada, its gardens were designed by the architecs of the Alhambra at the beginning of the XX century and it is furnished with original piedces from the XVIII and XIX century. Its working chapel , the historic gardens and vast extensión of gardens makes of Casería de Milán a perfect little Paradise in a village 4 miles away from the center of Granada and the Alhambra, connected by public transport to the city center and very close to the sideside ( 40 minutes) and the Ski resort ( 30 minutes). We have always lived here and love the property very much , the main reasons why the porperty is so well equipped and well maintained.

Casería de Milán is very unique for its historical past, very close to Granada, from the main living room you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the silouhettes of the Alhambra palaces. A perfect setting for Winter holidays ( 35 minutes from the ski slopes) for summer holidays( witjh the swimming pool and the sea 40 minutes away) and to enjoy history and tradition enjoying Granada in Autumn and Spring.

Property was wonderful and the pictures don't do it justice.

This was booked for a family get together and apart from some barking dogs during the night (which are nothing to do with this property), the whole experience was amazing.

The property has everything you need and the grounds are absolutely wonderful.

The pool is very large and more suited to adults than children we would say but for our stay we could not have picked any better

A wonderful house and grounds

Granada was stunning

Swimming pool was truly stunning and the highlight of this property. The gardens were spacious and had masses of potential. The house itself was a little awkward and would benefit from some enhancements. The downstairs bedrooms were hot in August and would benefit from air con. Outside we would have liked a table in the central courtyard closest to the kitchen and none of the outdoor eating areas sat 10 people ( max 6). The barbecue was old and very small which made for very long barbecue time for our group. The kitchen was functional but lacked a few essentials like plastic glasses for outside and BBQ tongs. It's is a truely beautiful historic building and the gardens would make a perfect setting for a wedding! The instructions and recommendations given by the owner we're excellent.

Una casa maravillosa....una semana de ensueño....

Desde el primer momento una impresion maravillosa.un arbol de navidad iluminado..las niñas apreciaron muchisimo...la casa que es una verdadera joya estaba limpisima..hemos pasado una semana verdaderamente fantastica.. Valeri es un hombre muy discreto pero presente ...para poner un pero....la asistenta no pudo atendernos ....estaba enferma...pero no fue muy grave porque estaba todo tàn limpio que no hizo falta.....Repetiremos seguro pero en verano para disfrurar de la maravillosa piscina et de los preciosos jardines.......enhorabuena es realmente una casa con encanto.

Agradable y confortable estancia en la Casería de Milan. La casa y su entorno es maravilloso y equipada con todo lo necesario haciéndote sentir como en tu propia casa. A pesar de ser Febrero, no hacia nada de frío pues la vivienda tiene calefacción en todas las habitaciones además de estufa de pellet en la planta baja que hacía la estancia muy acogedora. Sin duda con ganas de volver a repetir.

Acabamos de pasar 4 días inolvidables en la casa de Joaquín. Nuestro más absoluto agradecimiento por la maravillosa casa que hemos podido disfrutar, en una estancia y entorno maravilloso. Enhorabuena por la fantástica casa, sus jardines, su comodidad y todo lo que pueda describir, es poco. Igualmente por la estupenda amabilidad de Sevin y de Valerie. Nos acabamos de ir y ya estamos deseando volver y no lo descartamos en verano, para poder disfrutar de la impresionante piscina. Muchísimas gracias por todo de nuevo y hasta pronto ¡!
