Totnes was voted one of the 'coolest' towns in the UK. It is a unique town full of independent shops and cafes. Ideal for vegetarians with 3 veggie cafes. Yoga classes galore, live music and a boat that takes you down to Dartmouth twice a day.

First impression was light and space, and a really nice feeling.

I agree with another reviewer, the pictures on the website do not do justice to the property! It is very spacious and the 1st floor rooms have lovely proportions. Everything was very clean, and the bathrooms were superb.

This flat gives you a wonderful opportunity to stay in the heart of the town but enjoy amazing country views; the outside space of the roof terrace was lovely and a real sun trap. We love Totnes but had not visited the area for several years; I'm glad that we decided to try this apartment instead of an hotel as it gave us all the comfort (reclining leather sofas, stylish kitchen, original artwork on the walls, huge bath etc etc) but the total freedom of having our own space. My husband appreciated the good quality television and Sky service, also the Wi-Fi connection was good and certainly reliable during our stay.

I'm not sure that I want to add much if any criticism but the 2nd bedroom could do with some clothes storage such as a large chest of drawers or similar piece of furniture. If you were sharing the apartment with friends or even a couple with an older child I think it might be annoying to have to go into the main bedroom to fetch clothes or belongings every time you needed them.

The kitchen was very stylish but would benefit from a bit more in the way of crockery/glassware and serving dishes or bowls. What was provided though was very nice and I loved the vintage tea plates, just right for cake from one of the many local bakeries.

I would recommend to family/friends, (and in fact have already done so) and would not hesitate to make a return visit.

Perfect place in a perfect spot

Totnes is a lovely place and this property is fabulous. The photos don't do it justice, it's really spacious with a lovely decor. We stayed with an 8 year old and a 4 year old and they loved sitting out on the roof terrace or watching TV in the lounge. It's central for all the nice little shops and 2 minutes walk to the Castle. We will stay again.

A fantastic stay

We were very lucky to have booked this property, especially as it was a last minute booking. The whole booking experience was pleasant from start to finish. The property is tastefully decorated and very spacious for us, a family of 4 (Our children are aged 2 and 4). The roof garden is an added bonus.

It was very well equipped, with a great kitchen diner. The owner also kindly left us some basic foods and treats which we were very grateful for.

The property is in a fantastic location. Perfect for exploring Totnes and the surrounding areas. It was the perfect base for our exploration of Dartmoor and the surrounding beaches. The off street parking made it even more convenient for us.

We had a great stay in this lovely property and will definitely book again if we're ever in the area.

I would highly recommend it for everyone! Families, couples, friends. It's a beautiful apartment that's a perfect 'home from home'!

Lovely apartment in a great location

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay in this very well presented apartment. The apartment is a very comfortable home from home and the new reclining sofas were a welcome addition! The apartment is perfectly positioned for exploring nearby attractions, beaches, etc, and Totnes itself is a great town to explore, with many a culinary delight on offer! Judy is very attentive and will ensure all your needs are met.

Charming apartment with great rooftop garden

This apartment had loads of character and the high street location with private parking couldn't be any better. Two bathrooms, large dining table and quality furnishings, especially loved the leather reclining sofas! Roof top garden with beautiful views really sold it to us..had breakfast in the sun with only the sound of the birds.... Communication with the owner was very easy. She accommodated our needs and arrival time and provided some tasty welcome treats, including scones, jam, clotted cream and a bottle of sparkling wine!!! Many Thanks Judy, hope to be back again.
