About the property

Modern kitchen/diner, spacious lounge, 4 beds, 3 baths, balcony, garden& hot tub

Spacious, luxury, detached property with attractive lower mezzanine level boasting spectacular panoramic views across the countryside, golf course and out towards the sea. Recently renovated to a 5 star standard. Sleeps 10-13. Beach 8 mins walk. Holyhead 2 miles away.

Minerva is an attractive property set over 2 floors situated in Trearddur Bay on the Isle of Anglessey. The house is built on a raised rock cliff at the end of a country lane providing scenic views of the surrounding countryside and the sea that can be enjoyed from all living areas. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one being ensuite.

The property has a very large and modern kitchen/diner with brand new cupboards, breakfast island and appliances. It also has a 6 seater kitchen table, traditional double black range cooker with access to a utility room and further dining area all boasting breathtaking countryside and sea views.

The 30ft lounge has a wall-mounted 55 inch Samsung LED TV with full Sky package including Sky Movies, Sky Sports and kids channels all in HD as well as Amazon Prime TV, Netflix , full WIFI around the house and a Harmon Kardon blue tooth sound system. It also has a large fold out double chesterfield sofa bed and a wood burner with a double doorway in to a spacious sun room/games room.

Minerva sleeps 10-13 people comfortably in 4 bedrooms. There are 2 double rooms (one with en-suite), a quad bunk room (that sleeps 4 and is suitable for adults) and a further bunkroom that sleeps 2. There is an option to sleep a further 3 people on a high quality pull out double sofa bed, situated in the lounge, and a transportable adult camp bed. Travel cot and high chair also available. Bed linen (including cot bedding) and bath towels included but please bring your own beach towels.


Gas central heating, wood burner, 2 flat screen TV’s with full Sky package, Amazon games controller, and WIFI.

In the kitchen, there is a large gas 5 burner range stove with hot plate and 3 ovens, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine, tumble dryer, integrated fridge freezer, sandwich toastie maker and a 4-in-1 food processor and blender.

In the main bedroom, there is a hairdryer and curling tongues.

Tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits provided on arrival. All cleaning equipment, toilet rolls and kitchen roll also available for the guests' use.


Front consisting of a large, sheltered patio area with plenty of seating overlooking an enclosed cottage garden. To the back there is a sweeping outdoor balcony terrace with seating, BBQ and chiminea with stunning, far-reaching views of the countryside and out towards the sea.

Equipment storage available behind and down the side of the house and in the utility room. Off road parking for 3 cars and a safe area for additional parking to the front of house. Minerva is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic and with direct access to a public footpath that leads towards the beach and coastal path.


Minerva is the perfect base for families with lots to do within easy reach and is ideal for exploring Anglessey. Beach, pubs and local shops 7-8 mins walk away accessed via a beautiful public footpath across farmland with spectacular sea views and by-passing a small, ruined fortress.

The fabulous Holyhead golf course is 0.5 miles away and the green can be seen from the rear terrace area.

Children and pets

We welcome children and provide books, games, toys, books, kites and buckets and spades. There is a travel cot and bedding, high chair, plastic plates, cups and cutlery. We have two children of our own and so have made the house as child friendly as possible.

Well behaved dog are allowed but prohibited from jumping on furniture and beds. We also ask you kindly to please clean up after your pet.

No smoking please.


The original owner dived in search off ship-wrecks around the seas off Anglessey. The money he made from the copper he extracted from the wrecks back in the mid 70’s funded the purchase of the land and the building of Minerva in 1975. ‘Minerva’ means the Roman goddess of wisdom and war.

We really did have a truly wonderful family holiday. Your home is perfect in every manner. The layout was adventurous & enchanting, the children didn't know which way to run. The living room with it's honest welsh view gave us hours of interaction and engagement together. It was such a lovely place to spend time.

The kitchen and dinning area led to many happy breakfasts, family tea times and the slaughter of 3 lobsters. (we didn't have a problem with the sun through the window, not sure what crazy fool would as it's a pleasure when the welsh sun blinds you)

The décor was calming and the main bedrooms' mattress was a dream (On our return home we actually ditched ours a spent a small fortune on a tempur too)

We have been looking at investing in a property in trearddur bay, having viewed four while we were there, and we both firmly agreed that if Minerva came on the market we would snap it up.

Beautifully presented and spacious beach house

A fantastic place for us to have a family catch up weekend. The conservatory full of toys were the highlight for my 4 year old nephew! The house had everything we needed - very well equipped! Clearly lots of thought had gone in to ensuring guests had a good stay. The house was very open and spacious with incredible views. Georgina was easy to get in contact with for any queries and responded quickly. A lovely stay for our family - can highly recommend.

Lovely family house

With a great location and views this house was perfect for us celebrating a big birthday with several generations of the family. There was so much attention to detail and the kids loved the toys in the sun room. The latter also meant that those who got up earlier didn’t disturb those who had a lie in. We loved Trearddur with its great beach and shops nearby.

New Year Break with all the Family

We stayed for the New Year Break, there was 12 of us and 2 dogs, the house is excellent plenty of space for us all. Excellent! the house and surroundings are beautiful.

Although it was extremely windy it didn't stop us going on long walks, with some lovely pubs to stop off at that accept dogs.

Would highly recommend a visit we will be returning.

We stayed recently as a family and had a brilliant time. The location is great - near to the beach and plenty of lovely walking options straight from the front door. The house has great views and beautifully decorated inside with everything you could possibly need, right down to the speaker system and Apple Music at the touch of a button. The kid's loved it and there was loads of space for them. It would also be great as place to go with a group of friends. I can't recommend it highly enough.

A very well maintained house in an amazing picturesque location. Very spacious with good amenities. Best place to stay with kids.. We stayed there with our friends and thier family and had very good time.

Loved the house with it's homely feel and the views there are spectacular!

The beach house is a perfect retreat at any time of the year. We enjoyed lots of windy walks and roaring fires with trips to the local Sea Croft and Sea Shanty. Will definitely return.
