About the property

Exclusive Casa rural with room for 12 guests in private and stunning surrounding

We are pleased to present Casa Peltís, which is for you, who want to stay in a bit higher altitude than most of our houses. This beautifully renovated house is situated in the Pyrenees not far from Camprodón, close to the French border. Here, you can really feel clear mountain air in green surroundings, in the middle of the most beautiful part of the Pyrenees, where one of the GR-tracks, the national hiking routes of Spain, passes right on the other side of the fence.

The house is situated on perfect spot just about 2 km. from a lively mountain village with a few cafes, restaurants and shops, having a 360 degrees view to the valley and to the highest peaks.

The owners have done a great job transforming the house into a quality holiday home, where they with success have integrated modern design and the beautiful authentic limestone building, exemplified by the dining table made of original wood from the house, complemented by modern designer chairs.

The house is situated on a slide, and the swimming pool area is situated in direct connection with the main level of the house, so you via a glass porch has direct access to the kitchen and common room. In this level, you also find two double bedrooms, each spacious and own exit to the garden. They shared an adapted bathroom.

The kitchen is really stylish with double fridge, nespresso coffeemaker, juice squeezer, dishwasher of course and in general excellently equipped. It is open, so you can chat with the rest of the group while cooking and even enjoying the view. Also, there is a sofa corner with TV and fireplace.

One level below, there is hall with beautiful arches and a table, perhaps in the future it will serve as wine cellar. From here you get out to the excellent covered terrace with barbecue, water and a pizza oven, which is heated with firewood. You light the firewood four hours before you want to make the pizzas, and then you can make the most tasty pizzas you can imagine. If you want to try yourself in the local cuisine, there is a big gas-heated paella pan.

On the floor above the kitchen, you find the remaining four bedrooms, two of them with direct access to the upper terrace, and they have bathrooms ensuite with Jacuzzi. In addition, there are two other bedrooms sharing a bathroom around the corner from where they are situated.

The top level is one enormously spacious area, which has brilliantly been divided into four zones. One with futon-sofas, which can also be transformed into beds, if a bigger group want to stay in the house, and from the ceiling, you can slide down a screen so you can see movies via an installed projector. Another zone has been dedicated to smaller children with a lot of toys and a small table for drawing. Then, they have a corner with books and comfortable furniture for reading, and finally “granny’s corner” with rocking chairs. Although under the roof, you can open the windows and let the mountain air pass through on warm evenings.

The swimming pool is 11 x 3,5 meters and has roman steps, making it suitable for children in all ages. As the pool-season is shorter in the mountains, they have made a “japanese-style” 8 person hot-tub warmed by coal, where you can enjoy life with a glass of wine on less hot days or in the evening, where the temperature might drop a bit.

Below the pool area, they have made a little vineyard, where they made grapes with the purpose of in the future to make their own little hobby-production of the German Riesling wine. Also, there is a small vegetable garden. The owners are sometimes around, as they have an independent apartment with separate access. All facilities are of course for your exclusive use only, and they will respect your privacy and be available, if you have any questions or need advice or suggestions.

Relax by the pool in 1.450 meters of altitude situated holiday home with a magnificent 360 degrees view from the terrace/pool area, or take walk down to the village to have coffee or a lunch. For shopping, the cosy town of Camprodón is only 8 km. away, and even closer, you find a animal park, presenting the species of the Pyrenees in their natural environment, for instance bears and wolfs.

The roads a very good, so in less than two hours, you can take a day trip to Barcelona or to the beaches of Costa Brava, perhaps combined with the Dalí museum in Figueres. Even closer you find the volcanic zone of Garrotxa, Vall de Núria and the historical town of Besalú.
