The house is being let for the first time in summer 2016, after being solely used as a family holiday home until now. It has recently been lovingly refurbished to a high standard and boasts 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges and 2 wood burning fires, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom is situated on the top floor and has a vaulted ceiling, with exposed oak beams, a king size bed and benefits from an ensuite. There are 3 further bedrooms on the 1st floor, (2 doubles and 1 twin), as well as a family bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over. The large walled private garden is set on 0.5 acre with a BBQ, plenty of seating and a badminton set. The largest lounge/diner is on the ground floor and has 2 comfortable sofas, a wood burning fire, TV with Freesat and DVD player. There is a second lounge situated on the top floor which is also equipped with a TV & log burner. There is a driveway to the side of the property with parking for 2 cars and there is plenty of free on-street parking directly outside the property. The bar opposite the house is open for lunch and serves traditional French food. The heart of the village is only a 5 minute walk away, where you will find a butcher and a bakers. plus hairdressers, filling station and beautiful 12th Century Church with stunning views of the Ambazac mountains. Major shopping facilities can be found in the local town of Bessines Sur Gartempe (20 mins drive/10kms) where you will find supermarkets, cafes and bars and a lovely lake.
There is plenty to do and see in the area such as golfing, horse-riding and cycling. Additionally there are several lakes only a short drive away offering fishing and watersports.
nous avons apprécié ce séjour dans une maison atypique mêlant le confort britannique au cachet d'une maison ancienne de la région. Les chambres sont très agréables et la literie excellente. Le jardin est vaste et bien arboré, la vue magnifique.

Attention toutefois la maison étant sur 3 niveaux, il y a des escaliers à grimper et le jardin n'est accessible que par le 2ème niveau et un couloir moquetté.
