This is a newly refurbished 1 bedroom apartment . it has a double bed with a Tv and walk in wardrobe, USB charging points. The front room is open planed to the kitchen that has a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, and a washer dryer. there is a small dinning table and 4 chairs. This is a ideal base if you want to visit central London ,This property is ideal for a couple or a family with children. it is not ideal for 4 adults,This newly renovated apartment is in a great location, 7 minute walk from a train station, shops, restaurants, and a pub, with easy access to central London only 25 minutes by train.

lots of history locally and places to visit. Greenwich is 4 miles away with plenty to see and do. we have 1 golf course within a 5 minute walk and 2 others within a 15 minute walk. near by within a ten minute walk you have a high street with lots of shops and restaurants, we have a couple of gymnasiums nearby and swimming pools, we have a private pool at our property and this is not included in the package offered but if it is up and running and we are not using it we may offer this free of charge, this also includes the access to the rear garden. We are a friendly family of 4 and would like to make your stay pleasant. please note we do note rent this out for parties

Why scott chose Eltham South

This is a great location. it is right on the boarder of kent. the garden of England as its known. there is so much to do locally. with easy access to London by train. roughly 25minutes and the nearest station only a 7 minute walk. lots of restaurants nearby. its an ideal base , although we cater for a small family of 4 it is more ideal for a couple. the area has a low crime rate. the views from the bedroom are very green. If you like walking the green chain walks start 50 meters from the property and go through miles of woodland and fields. There are gyms and a high street nearby.

This was perfect for us as we wanted to travel up to London. we also spent a lot of time in Greenwich and Blackheath. the local highstreet has some very good restaurants.

Very neat and tidy, everything we needed.

The rental was very clean and well tended. The landlord was friendly and helpful but did not hover or intrude. It had all the amenities to make our stay enjoyable. It is a bit outside of central London but the rail station was only a short 8 minute walk away so it wasnt much of an issue. We would definately recommend it for the independent traveller.

Perfect little getaway

This property is set in a lovely location and easily to get to London from Falconwood station. The apartment was much better than we thought it was going to be. August was hot, their wasn't any air con, but Scott kindly supplied me with fans when we asked. Scott and Letitia were great and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Very friendly stay

We stayed here in July 2016. The property was fully equipped and finished to a high standard. The location was perfect for commutes to London, Greenwich and Canary Wharf and was a very piece full stay.

The property is not set to a high standard.

Scott was very nice and gave us a tour of the apartment. The place was very clean and tidy. Scott's wife bought us clean towels. They had a welcome pack with details of the apartment and location for site seeing. Internet was a big issue for us because i still had to finish up on my work. Scott called an electrician to come check out the internet connection. Nothing seem to work. We have called and text Scott multiple times but, never got the situation resolved. Connection was very poor. Basically the apartment does not have it's own router for the internet connection. Scott's house is right next door. He was using a wifi booster to get connection into the apartment. Which clearly gave us poor connection. We had go to a internet cafe to finish my work. The most disappointing part was he asked my husband "why do you need internet". Unfortunately while our stay the weather was pretty hot. The apartment does not include a ceiling fan or a table fan. We had to leave all the window's open though out the night. Which was still very hot. No satellite or cable in the apartment. There is a pet grooming parlour running from right underneath our apartment. Which was fine with us but, I wish there was a sign shows which way to go, for his customers. People were knocking on our door early morning. Every piece of kitchen equipment and furniture is cheap and some are falling apart. The sheets and towels are worn out, shredded and faded, like they came from a thrift store. Microwave glass plate was missing. Overall location was perfect. The property is not set to a high standard at all.

Owner's Response: Please note as from the 1st of august 2017 there will no longer be a grooming parlour on site. We are very disappointed that you only gave the apartment a 2 star rating and we are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay. I must agree, yes we did have a problem with the internet and I tried to replace the booster that was faulty but this never seemed to work properly. The very next day I had an electrician attend to fix the problem and for that period of time we only had limited service. The reason why I asked why you needed the internet was because if it was for travel purposes around London I would have printed directions off for you. Regarding fans; cable TV, saterlite TV we don't advertise the apartment with them so I don't know why you would of expected them. However, we have now just supplied 2 new tower fans. You were our third group of guests to stay in the apartment and everything is new. Towels, bedding,beds sofas. Table and chairs, absolutely everything. I wish you had told us you wasn't happy and we would of tried to put things right. For clarification to any future guests. please read our listing carefully regarding our apartment. We state it is a good base with easy access to London. If you would like somewhere clean, safe, friendly, with plenty of places to visit this is an ideal apartment. If you want to move in fulltime and work from this property its not ideal. The apartment is approximately 50 sq mtrs. As stated there is a parlour onsite that operates a couple of days a week. It's not noisy and the hours are 9 am until 4 to 430 pm. But most of our guests we would expect to be out during these times and not working from the apartment. We were yet again unaware of people knocking on the door and am very sorry about this. We are now installing signs to prevent it. You are the first people to mention this. We are now on our fifth set of guests and have had no other complaints. Although we live next door to the apartment, we do give our guests space and make a point of not intruding.

Hohe Autonomie, gute Verbindungen zur Stadt

Objekt ist so eingerichtet dass man sich gut selbst versorgen kann, inkl. Geschirrspülmaschine und Waschmaschine/Trockner. Auf den ersten Blick sieht die Entfernung zur Stadtmitte gross aus aber die Verbindungen der Southeastern Railway sind dicht getaktet, pünktlich und sauber.

Direkt vor der Haustüre kommt man auf den Green Chain Walk und kann beliebig weit joggen. Haben täglich eine halbstündige Runde absolviert auf der man an genau drei Gebäuden vorbeikommt (ein Abschnitt von 300 m im Park führt dann noch entlang einer auf der anderen Seite bebauten Strasse). Besser geht es nicht, wenn man regelmässiger Jogger ist.

The apartment is on a first floor and has been newly refurbished, it looks into our rear garden which is surrounded by trees . the nearest train station is a 7 minute walk that gives you acces to central London within 25 minutes, we are also a 15minute cab fare from Greenwich.

For walks and visiting within a 10 minute walk you have Avery hill park,This large, open parkland with many splendid trees, is notable for its Winter Garden (a magnificent hothouse), containing tropical trees and plants from around the world. Built by Colonel North, who used to own Avery Hill Park, it's just the place on a chilly winter day. Look at the exotic plants as you move through the temperate area into the tropical house. then you have Eltham palace. Eltham Palace was a favourite site of English Monarchs for several hundred years. This moated ancient monument, run by English Heritage, consists primarily of the Great Hall, built around 1480, and the unusual "'Courtauld House"' attached to it. This was built in the mid 1930s, and has been renovated and refurnished superbly in its original style. next Wall Hall Pleasaunce 'is a haven of formal gardens, ponds and woodland.

Well Hall was once owned by William and Margaret Roper (the daughter of Sir Thomas More, Lord Chancellor), and the Tudor Barn was part of the outbuilding of the complex. In 1733 Sir Gregory Page bought the estate for £'19,000 and demolished Roper House, building Page House in its place. The most famous tenant - and the last - was Mrs Hubert Bland, authoress who wrote under the pen name of Edith Nesbit. Both the Railway Children and the Treasure Seekers were written here by her.

There are twice-monthly ranger walks on the first Wednesday of the month at 10.30am and the second Sunday of each month at 2pm. Meet opposite the Co-op in Well Hall Road. Full details of these, and other events can be found on their website. And then Castle woods or Severndroog castle This striking triangular tower stands in Castlewood high on the slopes of Shooters Hill. It was erected in 1784, following the death of her husband, by Lady James in commemoration of his capture of the pirate fortress of Severndroog in India. From its turrets one can enjoy some of the finest views of London. There was a delightful tearoom there from 1921. It has recently undergone immense restoration. Another short walk away you have Jack woods,

Oxleas Woods, Castle Wood, Jack Wood

A Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the ancient Oxleas woods cover 77 hectares and are at least 8,000 years old. Take a walk through the woods of oak, silver birch, hornbeam and coppice hazel. Visit 'Severndroog Castle - built in 1784 as a memorial to William James of the East India Company, it stands in Castle Wood. Jack Wood, next to Castle Wood, has a terrace garden, from which visitors may enjoy spectacular views across London. It also has an attractive rose garden.

The Bob Hope Theatre,A Brief History of The Bob Hope Theatre, Eltham

Eltham Little Theatre (now The Bob Hope Theatre) was formed on 12th November 1943 to promote drama, music and allied arts in Eltham and its immediate vicinity.

During the early years it was without a permanent home but early in 1946, by arrangement with the Parochial Church Council, ELT found a home in Eltham Parish Hall (the current Theatre) on an annual lease basis.

In May 1946 Eltham Little Theatre was registered as a Company, limited by guarantee. The first production, “Hedda Gabler”, was staged by an affiliated society, The Kerwin Players, in 1946.

During the period from 1946 to 1950 there were some 600 individual members and 25 affiliated societies, and a production was staged every other weekend throughout the season.

The Theatre’s management endeavoured to purchase the building. However, in 1957 it became clear that the asking price was beyond reach despite constant fund-raising efforts.

By 1979 funds were low. There are 3 golf courses within a 5 minute drive. there are over 20 restaurants with in a 15 minute walk
