A beautiful new ski-in, ski-out chalet, right by the Grande Terche lift in the attractive village of St Jean d’Aulp

Built in the traditional style, this very well-equipped chalet comfortably sleeps 10-12 and benefits from all modern conveniences, including

• a wonderful open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with wood burning stove

• 5 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, including one glorious en-suite master bedroom looking out over the valley

• a hot-tub and large deck with outside furniture and lovely views of the mountains

• 2 private parking spaces

THE ACCOMODATION

The main floor of the chalet encompasses a wonderful open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with wood burning stove.

• Glass doors open out onto the wrap around deck where the 7-seater hot-tub can be found

• The kitchen is extremely well equipped with an American style fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher

• The dining table will comfortably seat 12

• The living area seating focuses around a wood-burning stove so that you can be warm and cosy on even the coldest nights. There is also free Sky TV and wi-fi

The top floor of the chalet incorporates 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

• The master bedroom features a king-size double bed, doors to the balcony, beautiful views down the valley and ample storage. The en-suite bathroom has a large shower and separate bath with heated towel rail

• The two other double bedrooms on this floor have plenty of character with doors accessing the wrap-around balcony and mountain views. They can both be made up as twin beds or as king-size doubles

• There is an additional bathroom on this level with a combined bath and shower and heated towel rail.

The ground floor of the chalet is the main entry-point from the driveway

• The immediate entrance area is equipped with a boot-dryer for 10 pairs of ski-boots, ski-racks and storage/hanging space for ski equipment. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer

• The fourth double bedroom is on this floor and like those upstairs can be made up as twins or as a king-size double

• The fifth bedroom has 2 sets of bunks, comfortably accommodating up to 4 children.

• There is also a shower room on this floor with a separate lavatory

Outside the chalet there is plenty of parking and a large wrap-around balcony and terrace area with stunning views of the mountains

• There are 2 private parking spaces next to the chalet

• On the terrace at the back, is a large 7-seater hot-tub, perfect for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes or mountain-bike

• For the summer months, there is plenty of out-door furniture on the terrace so you can enjoy the natural sun-trap

About Jo LeCouilliard

We are a family of skiers. Phil (Australian) and Jo (British) met in a ski resort in Australia 25 years ago!

Since then the corporate world has dragged us away from skiing and our careers have taken us to live in the UK, the US, Dublin and Singapore.

As a consequence, our 3 children have had a truly cosmopolitan upbringing and been to school on 3 different continents!

Wherever we have lived however, we have always found a few weeks each year to return to the Alps for some skiing in the winter and mountain activities in the summer.

Why Jo LeCouilliard chose Saint-Jean-d'Aulps

We have skied all over the world and visited many resorts in the Alps. However, when it came to choosing a place to buy a chalet, we couldn't find anywhere to top St Jean.

The village is beautiful, quiet and unspoilt and only 1hr 15mins drive from Geneva airport.

We are adjacent to the Roc d’Enfer lift station which offers good beginner skiing or uncrowded off-piste for experienced skiers. There is also the beautiful St Jean "circuit", a stunning 21km ski tour.

If you want more extensive skiing, we are a 15 minute drive from the lift stations at Morzine or the Ardent lift in Avoriaz, connecting you to one of the largest linked ski regions in the world!

The unique charm of the Portes du Soleil lies in the mix of fantastic ski terrain, a modern lift system and the traditional, unspoilt charm of its many small villages which offer a fantastic holiday experience.

In the summer, we are spoilt for choice with all the fantastic activities on offer. Whether you enjoy adrenalin fuelled sports like mountain biking, water-water rafting or parapenting, or you prefer hiking some beautiful trails or just soaking up the sun on the balcony admiring the mountains, this is the holiday for you! And of course there is always the delicious french wine and food!

In the unlikely event that you get bored of the mountains, Lake Geneva is just 30 minutes away and in the summer, you can swim in the lake or go water-skiing. Keen shoppers will find all the top brands in the ritzy shops of Geneva, just an hour away!

We firmly believe that holidays should be relaxed, effortless and comfortable.

If the peace and quiet of the surroundings, the majestic mountain views and the sound of the nearby stream don't relax you, then the lovely large hot tub will do the trick!

The chalet boasts all modern conveniences; a very well equipped kitchen, a large dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer - everything in fact to make life as straight-forward and easy as possible.

Every attention has been given to ensuring your comfort, from super-size beds and high quality bedding to a cosy log-fire. The boot warmer will ensure your feet are never wet or cold.

Stunning property

This property is amazing - you will not want for anything! The property is great for large families or even 2 as you can accommodate a family of 6 on the top floor and a family of 6 on the ground floor with your common areas being on the middle floor. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is very comfortable and with the fire roaring very relaxing after a hard day skiing. This property is one of the nicest I have rented and if we ever return to St Jean we would certainly try to book this! The owner is also a very helpful lady.

Nous avons passé un tres bon sejour dans le chalet, tres confortable, relativement isole du reste des habitants.

Seul point negative, la quantite de chlore dans le Jacuzzi, un peu etouffant.
