About the property

Set on a 200 sq. m land overlooking Adele village, ADHILI residence is a private escape getaway unspoiled by the likes of the city. It is surrounded by the vast olive groves. The 100m2 home can accommodate six people in bed. It was built in 2009 as part of a small residential complex in the hills of Adele to maximize both the views and privacy and spreads its three individual bedrooms across two levels, all located above ground. The majority of the day is spent on the ground level, where the main living, dining, and kitchen areas open directly onto a private patio and a common outdoor space which houses the (3,5m x 10,5m) common swimming pool. Enjoy tranquillity, comfort and luxuriousness in this fully staffed residence that was fully renovated in 2016.

The main house

Entering the house on the ground floor there is a spacious open plan area consisting of the living room, dining area and kitchen. On the left side there is a fully equipped kitchen. On the right side there is a living room area with a fireplace, a 40” satellite HDTV and the dining area.

The space has direct access to the patio that leads to a beautiful garden with local plants and herbs from which one can gaze at the panoramic views of the mountain and the Adele village. From the living room one can also access the common garden and the swimming pool. On the same floor there is a master bedroom with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower cabin.

A staircase next to the main entrance leads you up to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one with one double bed and one with two single beds, where each one has exit to private terraces, where excellent views can be enjoyed. Finally, a bathroom with a shower cabin is appointed on this level.

Outdoor area

The beautifully landscaped outdoor area of the house offers a variety of facilities and spots for relaxation.

More specifically our outdoor facilities include:

- 36,75 sq. m swimming pool shared with three other residences

- Private court with garden with fully equipped charcoal barbecue and dining table offering views to the olive groves and surrounding landscape

- A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, outdoor tables and chairs) for relaxing in the terrace and the garden around the house

- Parking space for many cars

Fully Staffed

The house offers once a week maid for cleaning/linen change. Except cleaning, with an additional fee our staff will be able to do the shopping for you, prepare breakfast & branch and serve you during the day time. Dinner can be also prepared.

The space is tastefully decorated and the modern furnishings were carefully chosen, to provide an aesthetically pleasing experience and maximum comfort. The floors layouts follow:

LOCATION- USEFUL INFO ABOUT THE AREA AND SURROUNDINGS

The area around –

The house is in the village of Adele, a quiet traditional village inside a vast olive tree forest, The guest can find tavernas, a bakery, mini markets, bars, gas station, bank office and a traditional weaving workshop. Strolling around the village, through the narrow paved small streets the visitor will come upon a beautiful passageway near the church of Ayios Pandeleimon, picturesque house yards, freshly whitewashed houses, historical churches and tasteful traditional coffee shops. It is very close to the traditional pottery Margarites village and the picturesque villages of Agia paraskevi & Maroulas with tavernas, cafes & shops.

Beaches and other places of interest –

The closest sandy beach is in adelianos kampos 2 km and sfakaki area 3km.They are awarded with the ‘Blue Flag’ every year. The sandy beach of Panormo is 10 km away. The beach of Bali which is 20 km away on your way to Heraklion. The long sandy organised beach of Rethymno with its numerous water sports is 7 km away.

On the South coast of the island you can also discover some of Crete’s most amazing natural beaches such as “Schinaria”, “Damnoni”, “Triopetra”, “Agios Pavlos” and "Preveli". The distance to the South coast from the villa is about one hour by car and all the above beaches are located near to Plakias village where you can find shops and many taverns.

Many interesting monasteries & ancient monuments are nearby. The historic renaissance monastery of Arkadi is 5 km away. Also, the Arkadi gorge begins from Arkadi Monastery and after a walk of around 2 hours ends at the village of Pikris, where visitors can admire important Venetian architectural monuments. Half-way between Pangalohori and Sfakaki there is another interesting monastery ‘Arsani’, which is also worth a visit.

In the nearby Prinos one can find the cave of Fantaxospiliara. This imposing cave has a total length of 210 metres and consists of 11 chambers.

The villages of Eleftherna and Ancient Eleftherna are only 16 km away, where a necropolis of the Geometric and Archaic periods can be found together with the new Archaeological Museum of Ancient Eleftherna, the first museum at the archaeological site on Crete, that is well worth visiting.

The village of Hamalevri with an Olive press of Roman date (2nd-3rd century AD) and a restored Venetian tower is only 5 km away.

The guest can stroll around the very charming village of Margarites (20km) and enjoy the many pottery studios.

The renaissance town of Rethymno is 7km away. A historic location where you may find a long sandy beach, a Venetian old town and port, many museums, food and entertainment.

Crete is a magical island filled with myth and legend. The residence is a perfect base for exploring the beaches, towns & mountains of both north & south Crete.
