About the property

Lovely two bedroom townhouse situated in Kato Paphos, close to a sandy beach, shops and restaurants.

The property consists of an open plan living and dining area with seating for 4 people, Free Wifi and TV offering UK and International TV channels. There is a fully equipped self catering modern kitchen. The kitchen leads out to a private paved area with outside table, chairs, umbrella and BBQ to relax and enjoy the Cyprus balmy evenings. There is also a guest WC available on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a double bed and patio doors leading out onto the balcony. The second bedroom offers a seaview and has twin beds.

The family bathroom has a modern three piece suite with an over the bath shower.

The property is fully air conditioned throughout with ceiling fans and shutters to all rooms.

There are a choice of communal pools one at the hotel which is accessible directly across from the house, the other a short 50 metre walk away. Sunbeds and umbrellas provide the perfect setting to enjoy these lovely pools. The hotel also offers guests the use of the Gym, Tennis courts, Sauna, steam rooms and spa facilities, some of which may incur a charge. There is also an onsite Bar and Restaurant at the Hotel.

Disapointing

On an excellent site this could be a really good property but sadly falls well short. Has a decent kitchen but it's all downhill from there. Bath fitting seems a bodged job and the way the shower screen is fitted means you can't get to clean the tap end of the bath. Doesn't seem to worry their cleaner though looks as though they just ignore it, along with the dirty floor tiles around the staircase area. Just generally a drab badly maintained house. If you like a bath start running it the day you get there, absolutely no water pressure. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Owner's Response: We are sorry that this property did not live up to your expectations. As the property managers, we have recently been in discussion with the owner and a list of improvements has been approved and scheduled. We started this update last week with a full re-decoration and thorough clean, as well as new bedding, and we have further improvements to be scheduled in the new year. We do not want guests to be disappointed, which is why we have initiated this programme of improvements, so we hope future guests will have a good stay.

Cheap for a reason, Beware!

This property does not overlook the pool as the photo suggests, but is set overlooking a hotel on one side and a field on the other. The overall state of repair is poor and the bathroom is a disgrace with a sloping bath, manky sealant everywhere and water pressure so low you can`t take a shower. The bedrooms are in a bad way, the door to the twin room does not close as the latch is missing, the wardrobe doors do not fit properly and there is paint all over them. The shutter in the rear bedroom lets in light as it is broken and bare screws stick up out of the floor where there used to be doorstops in both bedrooms. There are pictures stuck to the walls which are peeling off and the beds are not very comfortable either. Some of the lights have no shades, just bear bulbs and the air conditioning is on a timer in all rooms so you can`t run it for more than an hour at a time - which is really stupid on hot nights! The front patio is constantly wet form the air conditioner upstairs and the sliding doors to the front do not lock, making the place vulnerable from a security perspective. The kitchen is OK but some basic supplies would have been great as we arrived at midnight! Outside to the rear the walls are cracking and the patio is starting to disintegrate and has a major ant problem. For what we paid we could have stayed in a local 3 star hotel in Paphos and been more comfortable. Quite frankly this place is not fit to be on Owners Direct as it is a mess and you are not even dealing with the owners but a property management company who basically do nothing to help you. AVOID AT All COSTS.

Owner's Response: We are sorry that your stay was not up to your expectations, but we have also had many positive reviews about this property. We acknowledge that the property does need some work, and after discussion with the owner some upgrading and repairs will be done over the winter months. Most properties have a timer control on the air conditioning as this facility is commonly abused, with guests leaving it on for hours which runs up huge bills -electricity is quite expensive in Cyprus. We can supply a welcome pack on request at the time of booking, but there is a charge for this - very few places have food items left as a matter of course at no charge. Again, we can only apologise for your experience, and we hope that we can get these issues sorted out with the owner as soon as possible.

Its cheap so don't expect a lot but if you just want somewhere to sleep for cheap this is a good place! Iron broke new one brought round later that day! Overall it was ok

Lovely town house

This is exactly what we were looking for after staying in the paphos gardens hotel last year we wanted to stay with the same hotel and location but something a little bigger for our family of 4. This town house was in a perfect location just across from the main hotel and pool. It had everything we needed and communication with the owner was brilliant when asking a question regarding the location on arrival late at night.

I would stay here again and recommend it highly.

A very tired property in need of some overdue TLC

The overall impression of this property is of a once smart and relatively upmarket house that has been neglected.

The whole property is in need of a makeover - but nothing that a lick of paint and a good clean couldn't solve.

The one exception, however, is the bathroom. It really is in dire need of a new bathroom suite and some attention to the plumbing.

Its a real shame, as the location is excellent and the price extremely reasonable.

There are 2 swimming pools very close by and the hotel reception/bar/restaurant is a 30 second walk.

There are 4 or 5 reasonably priced taverna/restaurants within 400 yards (most of them also serve breakfast) and a couple of supermarkets are also close by.

The nearest beach is at the end of the road (5 mins walk) and buses into the harbour for nightlife and a huge choice of restaurants run along the main road.

The 3 star rating is made up of 4/5 for location but 2/5 for the property itself.
