Lovely three night stay

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed a three night stay in this little cottage just south of Devizes which is ideal for exploring Wiltshire. Perfect for two people, with modern decor and furnishings and well equipped. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area which I'm sure we will be as it's lovely!

Great base for visiting the area

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely time, owners could not be more helpful and friendly, used the little lodge as a base from which to visit various places in the area and found it to be just what we wanted.

The little lodge was superb...even though the photos were lovely the reality was even better.

  • 5 of 5

The welcome was wonderful from the personal touch of the owners to the thoughtful extras such as the homemade mince pies and bottle of Proseco. Nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was a wonderful place to stay and return to at the end of the day. We were sad to leave and certain that we will return again to such a superb place. Visiting here is an absolute pleasure.

quality single bedroom lodge

  • 4 of 5

Our priority was to find a single bedroom cottage which would accept a small dog and which, whilst being in the country with access to decent restaurants would be close to some towns to visit. Littleton Lodge exactly fitted our requirements. The Lodge, an apparently recent addition to the main accommodation and separate from it was entirely self contained with wi-fi, a four poster king size bed and virtually unused electrical equipment such as washing machine, fridge and dishwasher (more crockery needed if this was to be filled by anyone self catering over a few days).

The lodge was beautifully clean and easy to keep that way,and had a small but well kept and enclosed garden. The washing facilities were first class although a bathroom basin with a very smart tap arrangement which took up too much space was annoying. We took advantage of the fruit, sweets, coffee machine which were available to us, including a bottle of apple juice made at the premises ! The toiletries were very impressive and of a high standard. (We bought a bottle of the hand cream at the end of our stay.)

We could have taken advantage of a cooked breakfast but chose to make our own. There was also a well stocked 'trust' bar in the main house.

Altogether a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our host 'Terry' could not have been more helpful or less intrusive. Francis Burnley, Cambs.

Excellent accommodation, pretty outside space, lovely area with good access to M4.

Only stayed one night but would thoroughly recommend. Fantastic standard of accommodation in a small but perfectly formed converted stable in the grounds of an impressive B & B. The kitchen and bathroom were furnished to a high specification and the whole property was tastefully decorated. A small outside space was prettily planted and cleverly designed with outside lighting. The manager welcomed us, checked on our dog who we had left to go to a funeral and was really friendly. Not far from Avebury, Stonehenge and Glastonbury. Would love to go back and stay a bit longer.
