The street where the apartent is located is very quiet and closed to traffic. The neighborhood of Trastevere is located in the historical centre of Rome, where you can find the most delicious restaurants, typical bars, and places where you can taste the amazing italian ice cream.
Just few metres from the apartment there is the only and unique boat-shaped island in the Tiber river which runs through Rome. It has been connected with bridges to both sides of the river since antiquity. Being a seat of the ancient temple of Asclepius and later a hospital, it still conserve a unique ancient fascination.

We loved our stay at the apartment. It is perfect for a family of four. Location is great - within walking distance from all historical sights. There are also lovely restaurants within walking distance. Our host, was very helpful and informative. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Very nice apartment in a great location
Alice’s apartment was a good base for exploring Rome for my husband and me. We came for a visit for the first week in January and it was cold but lovely sunshine, and the apartment nice and warm. Lovely to stay in Trastevere but not in the crowded touristy part; close to bridges to the Palatine, the ghetto and Testaccio. Everything is in walking distance. Checking in and out was easy and Alice and her husband were very helpful! We would recommend staying here.

Well located beautiful 2bed w shared roof terrace
We spent 5 days in Rome and stayed at Alice's lovely flat. As it comprises two equally sized rooms, it was perfect for us (two grown ups and a child) but would equally have been perfect for two couples. The flat is right by a number of lovely restaurants while the main touristy area/restaurants are located on the other (western) side of Viale di Trastevere (the main road). The river is only max 5 mins away and we walked to Colosseum in approx 20 mins (stopping to take photos:-). Check in and check out was absolutely hassle-free. The flat was clean. Because of the restaurants in the area, there is some noise at night but we were not too bothered by this even though our windows were open throughout the night. Lovely view from one of the bedrooms and the kitchen! I sincerely hope that this flat is available next time we are going to Rome and I will be telling friends about this lovely, well-located gem:-)

Great month in Trastevere neighborhood hi
We spent a month in Rome. So much of ancient Rome was in walking distance from the apartment. Local flea market on Sundays was a short walk, severally daily or weekly farmers/open air food markets near by as well as a selection of grocery supermarkets. Weather for us was great. Walkabouts to local attractions and stores were easy and interesting. Many local restaurants, coffee/wine bars, pizzerias and gelaterrias. Lots of steps up to the apartment. Not good for all seniors but we did fine. One of the local trattoria is too noisy into early hours of the morning. One of the two bedrooms is quiet all night.

Great Location, But Noisy If You Turn In Early
This is a great place to stay, feels very safe, centrally located, close to bus lines, taxi stands, restaurants, and all that. Eva, our host, was simply wonderful. We did not anticipate the late-night noise, however, as only one review mentioned it as an annoyance. That might be because the nearby cafe and wine bar have recently expanded into a narrow alley right under the bedroom window. There are also a couple of younger tenants who liked to host late-night gatherings on the roof, over your head. Mind you, we were there in November, when the days are short and the weather is cool. Trastevere has been a hangout for international students for a long time. That’s where I hung out as a college student 40 years ago! If, like me, you’ve changed over time and prefer quieter places, this apartment might not be for you.
