Description

The Old Winery

The Old Winery is a spacious two bedroom barn conversion, beautifully and comfortably furnished with a mixture of contemporary and classic, with a wood burner and beamed ceiling in the gorgeously cosy sitting room, a spacious stone floored hallway in which to kick off your wellingtons, a roomy and very pretty kitchen, and cloakroom with wc and washbasin on the ground floor. The first floor is home to a comfortable double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with painted wooden floors and quaint sloping ceilings, and a shower room with shower, wc and wash basin. Outside is a large private garden in which to sit and relax or perhaps enjoy an alfresco meal; and private parking for at least two cars (although more can be provided upon request)

The cottage has a large selection of books, magazines, board games and DVD's for your enjoyment.

lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a very well appointed and comfortably cottage. Location is perfect - in beautiful countryside, just on the outskirts of a tiny riverside fishing village (a wander down to the very dog friendly pub for a bit of dinner & a pint and back makes a perfect change from the TV). The cottage is only a couple of miles off the main road that gives access to other attractions, but not down any 'wing-mirror scraping' lanes (so long as you ignore your sat-nav). The 5 acre grass field right outside the door is perfect for kids to play in or for the first & last walk dog walk of the day.

Great dog friendly cottage near Fowey

  • 5 of 5

Lovely two bedroom cottage in a great location near Fowey and Golant. We had a fantastic stay in the Old Winery cottage and would highly recommend the cottages. The location is a perfect base for exploring the area, and the cottages are well delivered with all the mod cons you would expect and the rooms are large and comfortable.

A charming cottage set in an amazing location, comfortable, clean and equipped with all you need.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Winery cottage at Hybadore with our two dogs. It is a beautiful cottage set in the most wonderful location.

If you are holidaying with dogs you can't beat this place with its enclosed meadow leading from the garden, it is truly doggy heaven.

Our hosts Terry and Sarah-Jayne were very welcoming and made us feel very at home.

I would thoroughly recommend staying here, we always enjoy our stay and are sad to leave!

Fabulously spacious cottage in a quite location within reach of local attractions

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for 6 nights in Feb 2017 and found the cottage comfortable, although the sofa could do with new cushions. Lots of walks nearby, the Saints Way is virtually outside the cottage and the South West Coast path is only 3 miles away in Fowey.

This is our 6th stay in Golant and we usually stay down by the river, but I think we’ll be back here again.

Facing out over a five acre meadow in which you are free to walk or relax, set away from any roads in private gated gardens, and surrounded by countryside that is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, these beautiful refurbished stone cottages are in a perfect position to give easy access to the gorgeous sailing town of Fowey, home of the Daphne Du Maurier festival, a mixture of quaint and cosmopolitan, with fabulous bistros and restaurants, and sited at the mouth of the stunning Fowey estuary and river. Secluded sandy beaches and staggeringly beautiful coastal walks, Bodmin Moor with Jamaica Inn, Truro for shopping and sightseeing, Padstow, Looe, and quaint Polperro, beautiful Lostwithiel for antiques and restaurants, the Roseland Peninsula with pretty Mevagissey, the many gardens and golf courses that Cornwall is renowned for such as Heligan, Lanhydrock, St Mellion, Trevose, and of course the Eden Project, are all within easy reach.
