Large Lounge, Dining kitchen, spacious main double bedroom, large single bedroom and bathroom.

Property is close to the town with all the usual amenities. Overlooks the sea and has on-site parking. Large garden right on the sea front from where to enjoy an early evening stroll, go for a run, or for the children to make sandcastles or play in the dunes. Pets welcome provided they are well behaved (which goes for the children too ;-)

About Rosie Hunter

This is my family home where I grew up. A great place for kids to explore the beach and have a free lifestyle. Now working and living in Dunblane I am offering this as holiday accommodation so others can enjoy a taste of the seaside lifestyle.

Great location

We had a great time, thank you Rosie for being so accommodating to us. We did the whole trip on public transport (with and 3 and 5 year old!) and the were very impressed by how accessible the western isles were from Troon on the train. The beach is so close and we had great fun splashing in the water and running on the sand. Thanks for a great holiday,

lovely property great location

I must recommend anyone who's thinking of staying in troon to stay here, the property has everything you would ever need and for us just to open back door and a few steps onto beach with our dogs was excellent. I will have no hesitation in staying here again

Kitchen was far too cluttered. Sink and worktops were disgusting. Property needs maintenance.

Bed, heating and hot water were spot on. Many faults including filthy windows, plug in bathroom sink not working, several bulbs gone, kitchen cupboards full up with stuff just thrown in, far too much clutter in kitchen, garden overgrown with weeds, bidet tap not working, no blind/curtain in bathroom or hallway, no end stop on curtain rail in single bedroom, wardrobe doors and drawers faulty in main bedroom................

Terrific Location

We stayed for 6 nights in this family home which is right on the beach at Troon.. the view was lovely and the location even better. Walking on the beach is within seconds. As is golf. We had our choice of many excellent courses within an easy 15 minute drive. The house was nicely equiped, had a lovely spacious bathroom, and a comfy bed. We certainly appreciated the good internet as well. All in all a lovely stay in Troon on the Western shores of Scotland.

Comfortable home close to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay in Rosie's house. It is more spacious than I was expecting and extremely well equipped. It was very stormy when we arrived but the house was really cosy and warm. You can see the sea from the kitchen & sitting room and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the promenade. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the town centre where we found some good restaurants. Troon station is also a short walk, with frequent direct trains into Glasgow.

We would certainly stay here again if we are coming to Ayrshire.

Fabulous relaxing place and right on the beach.

A great welcome from Rosie and a tour of the home. A lovely home from home with that relaxed feel. Loved washing up with the view of the sea. Enclosed garden great for the dogs. We were lucky to have family locally and enjoyed family meals round the big kitchen table and the lounge with the views was so relaxing. Close to shops and the local pool was a hit on a rainy afternoon. We'll be back.
