About Mrs Sue Townsend

I have lived on the farm all of my life, and have been running a B&B for since 2003. The cottage was built by us in 2007 to provide a lovely place for self catering holidays as an extension of our business.

Mrs Sue Townsend purchased this cottage in 2007

Why Mrs Sue Townsend chose Maidstone

We are very lucky to live in an exceptionally beautiful area in the heart of Kent (The garden of England), but close enough to London, Canterbury, and the coast.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage was designed to be completely accessible to wheelchair users, with no thresholds or steps.

We and the dogs enjoyed our stay in this cosy farm cottage, a good base to explore Kent.

A great stay in a great location in a lovely cosy country cottage

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and tidy with all the facilities you need for a stay. We had a lovely time and didn’t want for anything. Even a pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived. Thank you!

Beautifully clean, fresh and organised. Peaceful and in private, rural, pretty setting.

  • 5 of 5

Our host was accommodating about our arrival time and there was no fuss about checking in. We were able to leave windows and doors open while we were away. Everything felt welcoming and professionally prepared. Obviously a lot of care and attention goes into providing good facilities with simple, functional amenities. Lovely secluded garden within a larger landscaped area with private drive. Lots of birds and attractive plants. A few hens in a pen were pleasingly entertaining to watch.

Roads around property were narrow but charming. Good pubs close by car and shops in nearby Staplehurst.

(Very nice / excellent / jolly good).
