About the property

Central Cambridge Townhouse with Outdoor Space, sleeps 4

This freshly renovated 2 bedroom townhouse dating back to the 1800's, on two levels, is situated less than a mile from the historic University town centre of Cambridge, in the vibrant Mill Road area. Within easy walking distance of the town centre near Parker's Piece, and from the end of the road a great selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The main train line station to London is less than 10 minutes walk from the house giving easy access to London for day trips, work or whatever! Ideal for sightseers, professionals who prefer a home from home, and parents visiting studying university students.

The open plan layout of this original 1800's Townhouse has a comfy leather sofa, chair and pouffe to relax in after a hard days sight seeing. You can enjoy the new technology, Freeview flat screen SMART TV and i-pod docking station/DAB radio or settle for some good old fashioned games and jigsaw puzzles. For cooler nights there is an original open fire, with fire guard.

If the wide selection of restaurants locally doesn't tempt you there is a well appointed kitchen and dining area in the open plan downstairs space, including a dishwasher, stainless steel fridge freezer, gas cooker and washing machine.

The open plan living leads to a small courtyard garden that gets the evening sun, a nice place to chill before heading out into the town for the evening.

The hallway takes you upstairs to a newly fitted bathroom with a drencher shower and adjustable hose, bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

The main bedroom with a super comfy king-size bed and luxury feather duvet has bedside tables and lamps, has a beautiful dressing table and fitted wardrobes, very elegant.

The second bedroom, at the back of the house, has a double bed to make the most of the space, again with a luxury feather duvet and fitted wardrobe.

This great little Townhouse in the heart of Cambridge gives you easy access to Cambridge and London. There is free on street free parking, but you don't need a car here to get around! The handy side room gives you space to store bikes inside [there are plenty of bike hires around] and also houses a washing machine.

This is a pet free and NON-smoking holiday home.

We are currently renovating the house, it will be available from the start of August to rent [possibly earlier], pictures to follow as rooms get finished. Please get in touch if you are interested.

About The Owner

We have lived in Cambridge for over 15 years, this was our very first house, with great memories of the fun we had living in such a central place, we couldn't part with it! We moved as our family grew, but we don't live far away. We love living in Cambridge. Internal pics will follow over the next few weeks as we finish the renovation by mid July. Please get in touch if you are interested in staying.

The Owner purchased this house in 1999

Felt at home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights (week nights). Comfortable, clean, and indeed well located. Random sounds from the road out front woke us at 7 a.m. two mornings, but didn't persist, and overall it was not noisy for a location so convenient to town. The second bedroom is towards the back and quieter. The owners are responsive and accomodating. We would stay here again.

Comfortable & Convenient

  • 4 of 5

Well equipped and conveniently located to stores, restaurants & bus downtown e.g. Tom's Cakes, train station within walking distance. Garden very pleasant for afternoon tea. Bed comfortable & area quiet. Bathroom lighting could be improved. Owner very helpful and responsive to requests.
