Completely renewed, inside the house and outside, on 2017.
Charming treasure trove within our rustic Tuscany. A villa belonging to 18th century with its perfect proportions and fascinating structure. It has been renovated maintaining the original characteristics and re-furbished with autenthic, original furniture. The elegant style and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic villa is situated within an olive grove, surrounded by the sounds of nature- but nearby, about one hundred meters far, the owners are living. Lucca is a medioeval town, full of history and surrounded by unique, centuries-old walls. The house lies 11 km. from the centre of Lucca and is ideally located to take day trips to Florence -70km., Pisa -20km, Siena and S.Gemigmano -90km. The Lucca region reaches as far as the mediterrean coast in Versilia, where the famous Forte dei Marmi is situated. The elegant beaches and fine sand are renowned within this area. If one day you remain at home, you can enjoy the view of Lucca from the terrace.

Piece of Paradise

Massimo's cottage is what we imagined true Tuscany to be. Nestled in the hills overlooking the town of Lucca, the village of Torre pockmarks the green landscape. The antique furnishings and style of the cottage makes you feel transported back in time to bygone era. So relaxing was time spent at this property, that we had a hard time getting up to explore the town of Lucca and further afield. Massimo himself (and wife Isabella whom we meet briefly) was the perfect host. Very knowledgeable about the surrounding area with plenty of advice and tips on where to park, dine and visit. No request was a problem for him (including guiding us back to base after getting lost). It was with a heavy heart that we left Casa Tonino and Massimo's company, but gladdened by the thought that we experienced this piece of paradise.

Il contesto è meraviglioso: quiete perfetta, continuo armonioso contatto con lo splendido paesaggio circostante, grande spazio verde esclusivo, agevole accessibilità alla città di Lucca e a tutti i servizi. L' alloggio è squisitamente ristrutturato ed estremamente ben curato in ogni aspetto, ricco di dettagli sapientemente ricercati e perfettamente armonizzati fra loro e rispetto all' ambiente esterno, ed insieme dotato di tutti i comfort e le tecnologie che si possono desiderare. Un luogo di autentica bellezza, solo parzialmente descrivibile a parole. Un vero piacere abitarvi! I proprietari sono persone squisite, competenti, gentili e disponibilissime, ci hanno circondati di attenzioni e sono stati generosissimi di suggerimenti e consigli per un soggiorno ottimale, permettendoci di orientarci agevolmente nella ricchissima offerta del territorio. Ci siamo sentiti davvero ospiti a casa loro! Una vacanza perfetta, sia nei momenti di visita agli eventi e alle numerosissime ricchezze paesaggistiche ed artistiche di Lucca, Pisa, e dintorni, sia nei momenti di pace, serenità e meditazione presso questo bellissimo alloggio immerso nella natura. L' ho già consigliato a tutte le persone che mi sono care, e sto organizzando di richiedere io stessa un periodo di ferie per tornarvi al più presto!

Fantastic hospitality in a superb location overlooking Lucca

The hospitality provided by Massimo was excellent - from meeting us in Lucca to show us the way to the house, to the bottle of wine, bread and pasta as a welcome gift. This house is lovely, and with such an amazing view from the terrace, it was a struggle to tear ourselves away to explore. The house is beautifully decorated, and very well appointed - the good water pressure in the showers was a very pleasant surprise. The house is perfectly placed for exploring Lucca and the lovely villages around. It’s also close to the Garfagnana, which has some lovely walks. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for somewhere away from it all, but with access to the city, the hills and the sea.

Charming! Peaceful! Excellent Property!

The house is exactly as it is pictured. Very charming and beautifully decorated. The only surprise was just how beautiful the view is of the valley below and the town of Lucca. Pictures just don't do it justice. In the two weeks I spent there, I learned a great deal of how everyday life is in Italy. The house was very clean and everything was in working order. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing a lovely setting to relax the day away. Lucca proper is very beautiful town to visit. It is also accessible to many other towns for day trips. Massimo, the owner, was very accommodating and always available should you have need. He is a good source of knowledge of how to get around not just Lucca, but Italy in general. He is also a very, very nice person.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Arriving at this wonderful Tuscan Farmhouse was one of those moments! The view that met us did take our breath away. Everything about this house, inside and out, was magical. The house is furnished eloquently..rustic/chic, and one feels instantly 'at home'. Massimo met us at Lucca so we could follow him to the house, very much appreciated, and when there, he explained very fully regarding the running of the house etc. Massimo lives locally, and it was clear that if we had any problems, he would attend immediately. I cannot really find adequate words to describe the beauty and uniqueness of the area surrounding the house, it has to be experienced, and I will remember and treasure this experience forever.
