About this property

Set on the island of Sal in Cape Verde, this apartment features 3 sun terraces with a year-round communal outdoor pool and sun loungers. Free private parking is available on site.

The complex is just 400 meters from the white sand of Ponta Preta Beach, 15 minutes from Sal International Airport. A transfer can be arranged on request for €15 each way. It will take you 15 - 20 minutes to walk into Santa Maria. There's a free shuttle bus from the apartment. A taxi into town will take less than 10 minutes and costs around €3.

On arrival at the airport, you will be charged a visa fee of €25-30 unless this has been arranged by your flight carrier. It is worth checking with your tour operator.

The apartment can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people (1 double room, 1 twin room and a large double sofa bed in the lounge). The whole apartment and pool is at your disposal, apart from the private wardrobes in the hallway and main bedroom.

The master double bedroom has an en-suite complete with bath; there is also a separate marble shower room and toilet which leads off the hallway. The apartment features a well-equipped open plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen boasts a built-in oven and extractor fan, a microwave, fridge-freezer and a toaster, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle.

Towels and linens are included, and a laundry service is available for a small fee. There is a washing machine in the apartment. There are 2 beach towels available for guest use if you need additional beach towels you will need to bring your own. An iron and ironing board are also present.

For your entertainment, a flat-screen TV is also available for your use.

There is no free Wi-Fi in the apartment itself however there is a pay-as-use option (further details supplied on booking). There is free Wi-Fi access in the Vila Verde Main Reception and also at the Cactus Pool Bar (Free during pool bar hours ask for details to connect at the pool bar). **If your on the main balcony in the apartment you can normally pick up the free resort Wi-Fi**

Excellent Spacious Apartment

The apartment was very clean and spacious and was very well equipped. The air conditioning wasn’t working but we were pre warned of this before we arrived. There were a couple of other small issues on arrival but these were sorted straight away. The communication with the owner Gaynor was excellent and we were provided with lots of information about local restaurants, bars, excursions etc. Our only real issue (and why we haven’t scored a 5 star) was the processing plant nearby which at times, the generator was quite loud and produced fumes which stopped us relaxing on the balcony. This didn’t happen all the time, but when it did we had to shut all the windows and patio doors. For us it didn’t impact too much on our stay as we were out in town or at the beach nearly everyday. Overall though we had an enjoyable stay and thank you Gaynor for your excellent communications throughout!

Excellent Apartment

The two good sized bedrooms and large kitchen/dining area&lounge are very spacious. The apartment has three balconies,the largest which is accessed via the lounge overlookes the pool area and is an all day 'sun trap'.I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Der gik desværre nogle dage inden det hele virkede perfekt i lejligheden (ingen varmt vand, faner og vaskemaskinen fungerede ikke) Den lokale caretaker var ikke til megen hjælp, men ejeren Gaynor gjorde alt, hvad hun kunne og fik løst problemerne.

We travelled to Cape Verde in March 2015 over the Easter Break in order to celebrate a birthday, and get some much needed rest and relaxation, away from the stresses of London life.

The island has plenty to offer for all tourists: friends, families and couples. Cape Verde is often referred to as the 'African Carribbean', it has white long sandy beaches, turquoise sea and a relaxed feel.

The weather is warm and sunny all year round and only experiences a very occasional afternoon of rain during the “wet” season in August/September. Locals have quoted that in fact it only rains 2-3 days throughout the whole year. Further, the islands are on the same latitude as the Caribbean, but experience no hurricanes.

Long white sandy beaches and warm crystal clear waters (21 to 26 degrees) are a haven for relaxing, water sports and big game fishing, as well as a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles and home to humpback whales.

We both love travelling and experiencing new cultures and we thought the island of Sal was a fantastic holiday hotspot. The next thing we knew we were looking at holiday homes….

We are thoroughly passionate about the place, its people and its potential. We are happy to give you any tips for restaurants or things to do whilst in Sal.

Why they chose this property

The apartment is in a great location and has modern spacious feel, it is well equipped and benefits from 3 balconies. It feels like home from home for us. Linen/bath towels are included in the cost of your stay but please bring your own beach towels. This resort is quiet and relaxing but will all amenities, including a supermarket, bakery/pizzeria, ice cream parlour, bar and restaurant. The beach is a short walk away and the local town is just a short taxi ride away. There is a free shuttle bus to Santa Maria from the apartment but space is limited.

What makes this property unique

This holiday home accommodates six people with ease. Luxuriously appointed new apartment, secure, overlooking a large communal swimming pool with separate children’s pool and play area, snack bar. Enjoy and indulge luxury, at superb prices, beautifully appointed with fabulous public areas. There is lift access to the apartment. The appartment Includes TV, DVD player, full size fridge-freezer, safe, balcony. The price is for the apartment and not per person and assumes 4 occupants, an additional fee will apply for more than 4 guests. Please note this is an apartment, and not a hotel complex, Vila Verde is nice and quite, ideal for those chilled-out, relaxing holidays.
