Lovely cottage in a quiet area

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful, well equipped house which is located just outside Dunster. Plenty of great walks to take, some directly from the cottage and others just a short drive away.

A week was is not enough to explore all the various places of interest and despite the weather being varied all the family had a great week.

Ideal haven for peace and tranquillity

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was in a lovely quiet position, was very clean and comfortable with homely touches and a very welcome bottle of wine and packet of biscuits on arrival (thank you Becky). We had excellent weather, which meant we could enjoy sitting out on the private patio area and we also enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. We can highly recommend this property and area if you crave peace and tranquillity.

Well Equipped, Clean and Comfortable bar one exception

  • 4 of 5

This cottage is good value,is well equipped and sits in a quiet location. Overall the furnishings are fine with the beds being extremely comfortable but the 3 piece suite is another matter. Its not that it is really uncomfortable but that you sink so low in it that extracting yourself from it is extremely difficult. Yes we are getting on a bit but are still pretty agile. I suspect that anyone less so would find it impossible. Visitors should be aware that the village lanes are very narrow and i mean narrow, all part of the experience. Taking everything into account it is good value for money.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your review, we're glad you enjoyed your stay at Willow View and had a good holiday. We really appreciate the feedback on the sofa and chairs as we're usually getting the cottage ready for guests and doing maintenance, so haven't really sat down in there for any length of time! You were quite right though, they're not as supportive as they used to be, so we've replaced them with a new leather sofa and armchairs - we hope they'll be perfect for relaxing in after a day at the beach or a walk on the moors! Thanks again and best wishes, Becky

Perfect cottage in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week at Willow View. The cottage was full of character, very clean and well-equipped. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels.

We loved the outdoor area - coffee in the morning and wine in the evening!

The cottage is in the perfect location for exploring West Somerset. We enjoyed days out at Dunster Castle, Porlock, Lynmouth (fab cream tea at The Lyn Valley Hotel £4.95 for 2!) and Exmoor. (Lots of leaflets and maps at the cottage).

The wi-fi was good and the kids appreciated the toys in the cupboard.

We had two lovely evening meals out, one at The Rest & Be Thankful at Wheddon Cross (fab car very on Sundays and Wednesdays) and one at The Wheelhouse Restaurant in Minehead
