Two bedroom villa with a mountain view terrace that provides amazing views over the orange groves down to Adsubia, which can be strolled in the evenings for a meal or a drink. The beach is just 20 minutes away by car and has over 10KM of golden sand on which to stroll and play. The nearby mountains are full of hiking trails and picturesque villages and a popular destination for cyclists.

Pool:

50 yards down the road and situated on a private deck away from the villas, the shared pool is well-maintained and slightly larger than the majority of private villa pools. Amenities include a shower and depth and safety notices, fencing and a locked gate to deter access by unattended children. Les Basetes is a largely residential area and the pool is not heavily used, as confirmed by our reviews.

Garden:

A pretty sub-tropical garden planted with local flowers and shrubs, accessible directly from the main bedroom. Good for sneaking out in the morning or late at night to grab some peace without waking the kids.

About Anna Forbes

The owners are Anna and John. We love our own holidays at the villa and come here as often as we can. This is mostly in the colder months when the days are short and cold in England. We are very happy with the temperature in this part of Spain, even in February.

We love this property because it is set on the edge of the picturesque coastal mountains yet 20 minutes from a 10KM golden sand beach. It is quieter, cooler and more unhurried up here yet is just seven minutes from the large authentically Spanish town of Pego with its two petrol stations and three major supermarkets. Flight wise it is mid-way between Alicante and Valencia airports which doubles the possibilities for cheap flights and car hire. Valencia, Denia, Javea and Benidorm are all in reach while Les Basetes itself is the prettiest, best maintained community in the area. The Costa as a whole has on average 300 days of sunshine per year.

What makes this villa unique

We like the mountain views and the walk through the groves into the nearby village of Adsubia; The friendly local bar; The pitcuresque valleys behind the villa which are a cycling and hiking destination for the Spanish, the wild Oliva Pego Marjal (marsh) and the nearest beach depending on who you believe is 10 or 20 KM long.

  • The villa has a fully fitted bathroom downstairs (bath/shower/toilet/sink/bidet/full length mirror) and a cloakroom with toilet, sink and mirror upstairs. There is a further shower at the pool.

  • The duplex property is entered on the upstairs level and it is here we have the two sofa beds in the lounge, which is en-suite with the kitchen. The two bedrooms downstairs are made up as an extra large double in one room and twin singles in the others, though we have the necessary bedding on hand to change either around (four singles or two doubles). 4 is a comfortable rental and 6 is our maximum occupancy counting the sofa bed.

An initial shop can be ordered from the owners in advance as an additional extra and would be ready for you in the fridge on arrival. Smokers are welcome generally and may do so on the terrace or round the side of the house. However smoking is not permitted in the villa itself and this is a condition of rental. Long weekend break to get some winter sun

Stayed for a long weekend in this lovely house, very clean and well equipped with all mod cons. Located in a valley surrounded by orange groves, village 10 minutes walk away with a few bars and a couple of shops. 15 minutes from the coast with some lovely beaches close by and you can access stunning valley inland perfect for cycling holidays. We will be coming again soon

What a great place this is! Highly recommended.

John and Anna have made this two bedroom house a perfect getaway. An hour and a half's drive from the airports is far enough away to be off the beaten track - but close enough to be accessible for a short trip.

This is a great location for chilling out, great for walking or hiking, lots of little untouristy gems to visit nearby, plenty of markets and nice places to eat.

We went looking for great paella and found it at Restaurante L'Om in nearby Pego (a bit posh, but friendly and happy to do doggy bags), in one of the many restaurants on Carer de Loreto in Denia (ideal for an evening stroll after a day on the beach to the north or the mountain to the south, and in the cafeteria in the departure lounge at Alicante Airport (the best 8€ you'll spend in the airport).

Logement de grande qualité très bien équipé!!!

L'emplacement est idéale: a seulement 20 minutes des plages et au milieu des montagnes. Nous avons apprécié les paysages de la terrasse ou de la piscine, qui je le confirme est peu fréquenté même en plein mois d'aout!

Je recommande vivement cette villa!

geeignete Ferienwohnung fuer Kleinfamilien die nicht unbedingt direkt am strand sein moechten. gut geeignet fuer einen ruhigen Urlaub mit ausserdem guten wandermoeglichkeiten.

ansonsten ist an alles gedacht, auch die vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Séjour très agréable

Villa très propre , et très bien équipée ( même des jeux pour enfants et pour la piscine )

Très calme . Piscine partagée mais nous avons rarement croisé quelqu'un.

Idéalement située . Nous avons pu profiter de l'arrière-pays tout en étant qu'à 20 minutes des plages .

Et pour finir magnifique point de vue depuis la terrasse.

The pool does not have a life guard or attendant. All guests accept at the time of rental that their use of this facility is at their own risk. Note that it is gated against normal access by children as per the property description and depths and safety warnings are clearly marked.
