Cotmore Farm offers a warm welcome to discerning holidaymakers in three sympathetically and ecologically restored farm buildings, recently converted into stylish and luxurious holiday accommodation, and finished to the very highest specifications in natural and where possible local materials. Rose Cottage is situated at the heart of the farm, hidden behind a stone wall covered in climbing roses, clematis and honeysuckle, and reached through an arched gateway. Its jewel-like garden is completely private, filled with trees, shrubs and fragrant climbers, with a small herb garden for guests' use, a barbecue, and a patio offering glimpses of the sea at Beesands to the southeast. Three sets of French doors give access to the cottage, filling it with light whatever the weather. Inside, heated slate floors, individually controllable in each room, and stylish oak furniture create an atmosphere of comfortable luxury. From the entrance hall, a rustic oak door leads right to the bedroom, where an oak-framed double bed with pocket-sprung mattress is flanked by oak bedside tables with stay-cool LED reading lamps. Opposite the bed an alcove hides a large vanity basin and mirrored cabinet. Next to that, an obscure glazed door leads to the marble tiled bathroom, with its giant walk-in shower. French doors mean you can walk straight out from the bedroom to take breakfast in the cottage's private garden. To the left of the hall is the living room and the compact but fully equipped oak kitchen. A comfy leather sofa and flat screen TV add further pampering touches, while an efficient woodburner ensures the cottage stays snug whatever the weather. Here too French doors allow direct access to the garden, a haven for the birds that regularly visit our many feeders – we even supply a guide so you can identify them yourself. Foodies will appreciate the proximity of some of Devon's finest gastropubs and restaurants, while walkers (and their dogs) will not want for new routes to explore, with direct access from the farm gate to a network of quiet lanes, footpaths, bridleways, and the superb South Devon Coast Path.
