Strode House is a magnificent 7 bedroom Georgian country house with truly stunning features, beautifully proportioned with a stately feel. It is situated in beautiful private grounds of 2.5 acres in the South Devon, UK close to beautiful beaches (i.e. Mothecombe), the graceful harbour of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo and the spectacular Dartmoor National Park. Sky Sports, Sky Movies and WiFi are all available. Comfortable beds with quality linen, wood burners and a high standard of cleanliness throughout. Sorry but we regret that no dogs or other pets are allowed and Hen and Stag parties are not permitted - family anniversaries are welcome. Check in is 4pm; Check out is 10.00am.

Once you have experienced the magic of Strode you will find it hard to leave.

Why Philip Olver chose Ermington

We love Strode House - it has style, elegance and is set in beautiful gardens. Its location is ideal being only 15 minutes drive to our favourite beach and to Dartmoor National Park.The beaches in the South Hams, the coastline and the wilds of Dartmoor are beautiful There is so much to do within 30 minutes and so we have developed a guide to the local area which will be found in the reception hall. We also send out some early information for guests so that they can book restaurants, caterers etc. in advance to their stay.

  • The master en-suite has a walk-in shower, WC and large whb. The family bathroom is newly refurbished and has a large whb, shower, freestanding vintage bath , wc and bidet. The lavender double bedroom has an en-suite newly refurbished bathroom with walk-in shower, freestanding vintage bath, wc and whb. There is also a ground floor cloakroom with wc and wash hand basin.

  • There are four double bedrooms with king size beds. A single bedroom adjoins one of the double bedrooms and can be accessed directly from it. A lovely old house hidden in the beautiful South Devon countryside. You will enjoy!

The house easy to find and a joy to behold. The presentation was perfect. The beds will make you oversleep! Our favourite get together room had a log fire and a warm intimate atmosphere. The spacious meeting room was great for Scrabble and cards. The kitchen diner is superb and well equipped.

We had a wonderful occasion celebrating our Golden Wedding and God willing we'll come back for our 'Diamond' !

Huge Georgian Mansion with impressive grounds

This 6 bedroom property is perfect for a large family holiday. High ceilings, large rooms and a big garden. The facilities are great and include a table-tennis table in the garden. Only 15 minutes from beautiful Mothcombe beach and some fabulous restaurants. Wi-Fi was very weak which annoyed the teenagers but other than that, n complaints. The hosts were responsive and gracious. Highly recommend.

Lovely house, generously equipped. We had a wonderful week.

This gorgeous house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Little touches - like hand soap in all the bathrooms and adequate loo rolls - were much appreciated. As was the welcome champagne. Between the rain showers we enjoyed croquet and table tennis. The house is so spacious that even when we were all indoors there was plenty of room for all 13 of us to do what we wanted. We cooked each evening and found the kitchen fully up to he task.
