Light and comfortable apartment, fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances including underfloor heating. Shower room & bathroom, boot/ski room, and 2 parking spaces on site (1 directly outside, 1 in garage underneath building). Beautiful mountain views, 10-15 min walk to forest trails, lake, cafés and nice hotels with wellness, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, etc.

About The Owner

We are a British/American family living in Switzerland with 4 children. We bought this house a new-build and have been the only owners. It's only 1.5 hours from our house, and we really enjoying using it as our Winter and Summer escape for skiing and hiking/biking. We love the variety of restaurants and international crowd of visitors and especially enjoy the rustic mountain restaurants off the slopes during ski season. The ski school is fantastic, and our kids are all great skiers now, even the little 5 year-old. My kids love going to the Free-style academy and swimming pool in Laax. My husband and I enjoy the Spas and nice hotels for a cocktail and especially the popular family Pizzeria pomodoro located 10 mins walking from the flat. We like the friendly familiarity of Flims, its alpine beauty while at the same time modern and a state of the art ski resourt. It's improving every year. It's a great holiday destination and has a lot to offer for the whole family.

Why The Owner chose Flims

Flims is a fantastic resort and very easy to access straight off the motorway and 2 hours fro Zurich airport. Our flat was new-build and only 5 mins walking from the main ski station and local restaurants, etc. It has underground on site parking and we bought another space right in front of the building. It's a small, chalet feel, but a modern feel, close to the town but very quiet and residential. Flims is a growing and popular destination among foreigners, and we love the vide of the international crowd. The flat is small, comfortable and manageable. We like it all on site - cellar, ski room, parking. etc. We also chose this property in Flims instead of another Swiss resort, because it's easy to access from Zurich and doesn't require a long, mountain climb like Arosa, Davos and isn't as far as San Moritz. Flims-Laax-Falera resort offers over 250km of runs, has a great ski school and has nothing to envy from other Swiss resorts except for maybe Zermatt which is much more expensive and far away. We also love how great Flims is as a Summer destination and our flat is super close to the Caumasee and walking trails to Conn which are spetactular in the Summer for swimming, biking and walking. With his crystal clear water and beautiful surroundings, it's truly a holiday paradise only 2 hours from Zurich.

The locals are very friendly and English is widely spoken.
