Set in its own surroundings with easy access to local towns and beaches

The property is very private and has been sympathetically renovated to high standards. It is very traditional but with all modern conveniences. It also has a two bedroomed cottage just 400 yards away which is also available to rent if you wish to take a larger party of guests. It is set in its own land with a large private Swimming Pool. It is perfect for that much needed relaxed get away. It has many windows and patio doors which when open give a lot of light in the property and make it feel very airy. The rooms have high ceilings. There are four double bedrooms, two of which have double beds and also on suite bathrooms. The remaining two bedrooms are twin rooms, one of which has patio doors that lead out to the pool area. There is an additional family bathroom. The sitting area has a feature fire place which can be used on chilly nights. There is a dining room and a large fully fitted kitchen with modern conveniences. There is an additional room with a glass roof that has a staircase which leads onto the roof terrace. The property is fully air conditioned. It has wi-fi and TV. Outside there are terraces that run all around the outside of the property. To the rear of the property where the Pool area is there are terraces on different levels surrounded by well stocked and mature gardens. There is outside lighting surrounding the property with additional flood light overseeing the pool area. It also boasts an outside BBQ.

About Suellen

Our family are from Lancashire and for the most part still live there. We are a large family who all in turn have their own professional careers .

Suellen purchased this farmhouse in 1987

Why Suellen chose Luz de Tavira

My parents fell in love with Portugal in the 80's and this was the second property that they purchased in the Tavira area. We have spent lots of time here over the years. We love Portugal as we find the people very friendly and the way of life very relaxed. The Farm which is set in 97 hectares of land is deeply loved by us all. The local restaurants are excellent. The Beaches are gorgeous and within easy reach. Yet if you want to just stay put, the farm is so quiet and relaxed. There are many fruit trees on the land which include Oranges, Lemons, Grapes, figs, Olives etc. We also farm the Carobs and sell these locally.

In addition to this there are local boat trips available just ten minutes away where you can go Sea Fishing, Dolphin Spotting or just general sight seeing by boat.

There are Water slide parks available in the west Algarve for a day outing which would only take about 40 minutes to reach by car ....there are also regular local coach trips arranged to get you there.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We fell in love with this property as it is so traditionally Portuguese ! It has been very sympathetically renovated in order to preserve this. We had the Pool built ourselves . It is larger than you would normally expect . The quietness of the Farm and the wild life is beautiful. Set in its own grounds you can live as privately as you would like to yet it's only a short drive to the beautiful historical town of Tavira. The Beaches have been voted the cleanest Beaches in Europe for many years running. It's a joy to spend time on them . You can see the Sea from the Roof Terrace.

Tavira is a town with a long and interesting history. It has a lot to offer. You can spent hours strolling through the cobblestone streets and alleys finding little gems to sample freshly made local dishes, a coffee or just a good glass of wine after a long day on the beach.

The Farm is also an ideal place to use as a base to explore the Algarve, it's many beautiful beaches, water sports and the golf courses near by. Benamor golf is the nearest 18 hole golf course approx. 5,5 kilometer from the apartment. The golf courses of Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are less than a 10 minutes drive away.

Beautiful house, wonderful holidays

We spent two weeks in Quinta do Belo Monte in July 2017. The farm is situated in a rural peaceful location and the all property is very well maintained. The house was very clean, with fully operational airco, well equipped with all appliances working fine. The interior is very spacious, bright and welcoming. Outdoor areas are wonderful and the absence of mosquitos and flies allowed for enjoyable family meals al fresco day and night. Tracey and Suellen were very helpful and available at all times. I would definitely recommend Belo Monte for a restful holiday with family or friends.

Beautiful farmhouse, great vacation, perfect for families with kids

We were 7 adults and 4 kids and had a great time at this beautiful farmhouse. The space in the house as well as the outside area is huge. Every room was fully air conditioned and the house itself is pretty comfortable and nicely furnished. The pool is just perfect for kids as half of the pool has a depth of around 30cm. The second half of the pool is perfect for swimming. The communication with the owner was always friendly and they took care of everything. We will surely come back to this wonderful place one day and we can highly recommend to spend holidays there. It's perfect for 3-4 families with kids. Thanks for everything, we had such a great time!

A beautiful villa which sits off the beaten track and means you have peace and quiet all around you.

The scent of orange blossom coming off the trees around the house is wonderful. Suellen was really helpful before our visit and Tracey and Gary were very good on arrival showing us how everything worked. Tracey was very responsive and helpful for the only time we needed her during the stay. An excellent find and we will be coming back.

Such a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting and with a fantastic owner thrown in, what more could you want? Suellen couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was comfortable; the photos shown here are spot on, it's that good! Important to note little things that needed attention were taken care of straight away, would not hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely fantastic, just my cup of tea. Lovely old farm house full of character.

All though it was short, and we wanted to stay longer, it was simply delightful. Very peaceful and quiet. It was like going back in time, I highly recommend it, a fantasy come true.I would also recommend Luis Prego resturant, that was suggested by the owner Suellen. It is truly a great experience and the food was simple but to die for. If you get the chance stay here, you will be truly spoilt.
