Our home is a stunning open plan american style villa built on an elevated area overlooking the stunning twin villages of Killaloe/Ballina.The house is only a 500m short stroll from the village. Killaloe, on the left bank, in County Clare is a network of charming narrow streets, flanked by old shops and houses, that climb up the steep hillside and look down over the 13th century cathedral. The buildings of Ballina, in North Tipperary line the roadway that runs parallel to the river. The high ground is dominated by the The Lakeside Hotel. Below it, one of the many first-class pubs in the town stands by the old quayside. Just upstream, a new marina caters for the hundreds of leisure craft that make Killaloe/Ballina one of the best centers for water activities.

What makes Serene View so unique is that you are only 500m stroll from the village so no need for a taxi if you decide to have that extra glass of wine in the many pubs and restaurants that provide fantastic entertainment from life bands to trad sessions in Liam o Riains on a Tuesday night to irish dancing sessions on a wednesday night in the Anchor.

Stunning

Had a reunion of friends, it was just perfect. Very well equipped and comfortable. Views from the house are stunning. The house just made the weekend , beds really comfortable, kitchen had everything and more, lots of room to relax and enjoy. The property is very near good pubs and restaurants, perfect location.We can't wait to revisit. Thanks for a weekend to really remember. Cathy

Absolutely beautiful.

Very nice home located within walking distance to town. We really enjoyed the locals. All were very friendly and accommodating. The house has a huge yard, perfect for entertaining. I would definitely recommend this property!

Spacious Villa with Amazing views

We spent 5 days at the house which is situated a top of a hill with absolutely stunning views of the surrounding area. The house is spacious and very comfortable and our group very much enjoyed a relaxed stay there. John greeted us on our arrival and made sure we knew where everything was located in the house and provided us with great restaurant recommendations in the area. Both he and Sarah were easy to contact if we had any questions.

Wonderful home and location. Very responsive owner

We stayed for 8 days in April. Couldn't have asked for a better home. It had everything: home was in tip-top shape and had a very warm feel; views are beautiful; location is very walkable to town centers. At the same time you are a few minutes from M-7, and therefore quick access to anywhere on the island.

Sarah the owner offered great recommendations for food, shopping and entertainment.

Situated on the banks of the River Shannon, Killaloe is well known as the birthplace of Brian Boru (c. 941 - 1014), and High King of Ireland,(1002 - 1014). While Brian was High King, he ruled from Killaloe making it the "Capital of Ireland."

The towns of Killaloe and Ballina are amongst Ireland's most picturesque attractions and are linked by a 13 arch bridge, which links not only the two towns, but also the counties of Clare and Tipperary.

St. Flannan's Cathedral, unique for its stone carving inscriptions is in Killaloe, while both villages host restaurants, galleries, pubs, and shops as well as a Sunday Farmers Market.

Killaloe/Ballina have all the amenities that you would expect to find in an Irish village, with a range of boutiques, health and wellness centres, historical sites, and a choice of superb hotels, B&B's and self-catering accommodations.

Shannon Airport is easily accessible and only a 40 minute drive away to our communities.

. A nonrefundable booking deposit of 25% is required to reserve accommodation with the exception of weekend rentals where the full amount is required. The balance of rental is payable 30 Days before arrival. Confirmation of booking will be issued on receipt of deposit
2. Notice of cancellation must be in writing. The following charges will then apply:-
Over 8 weeks before date of arrival Booking Deposit
8 - 4 weeks before date of arrival 50%
4 - 2 weeks before date of arrival 75%
Less than 2 weeks 100%
It is strongly advised that clients take out holiday insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation charges.

3.The Property must be left as it is found and the cost of repairs to or the replacement of property will be the responsibility of the client.

4. A security deposit from €200 per week of rental will be held by Owners Direct. This will be returned provided the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been complied with. In the event that the supervisor is unable to check the Property at the clients departure, the security deposit will be forwarded within 7 days. Clients are expected to leave the Property clean and tidy.

5.Rental of Property may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the owner if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstance deemed reasonable by the Owner or disturbance, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstance deemed reasonable by the Owner.
6. Possession of property must be taken between 15.00hrs and 18.00hrs and the property vacated by 11.00am on day of departure. It is recommended that clients telephone Sarah in advance to confirm exact time of arrival on 00 353 86 1831989
7.The company is not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the Property during the stay or on departure.
8. Guest are responsible for all their own belonging while staying in the property.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
