Located a stones throw from the main Plaza with a host of bars, restaurants and shops and a short walk to the local beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor. The property benefits from outdoor space and a large roof terrace with seating area and sun loungers, ideal for private sunbathing and relaxing. Lounge is equipped with TV with British channels and also WIfi and air conditioning.

What makes this villa unique

“Los Alcazares has a fantastic coastline with over 7 kilometres of sandy beaches which give direct access to the warm waters of the Mar Menor, "little sea" which is extremely safe for children and also boasts the blue flag, dotted along the beach are a host of chirping units (beach bars) which make fresh tapas, serve cold local beer and are oozing with Spanish hospitality. Parallel to these beaches and running the entire length is the extremely long promenade, which is great for walking and cycling. The town centre is relatively spread out and has a good selection of shops. There is a good family feel here with many restaurants of very varied cuisine. If that isn't enough there is also the two golf courses of La Serana and Roda, you will also find another 12 courses within a 25 minute drive which includes La Manga. The port city of Cartagena is a 20 minute drive away which boast many interesting sights related to maritime and Roman history. The airport of San Javier is less than 5 minutes away.”

The area is very accessible with numerous low cost airlines flying into both Murcia (San Javier MJV) and Alicante from all over the UK. Fly to Murcia from the following airports: Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Cardiff, East Midlands, Newcastle, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Blackpool, Southampton, Prestwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Shannon, Dublin, Guernsey and Kent. The property is only a 10 minute drive from the airport and a full airport transfer service can be arranged on your behalf so a car is not essential.

A dream

A delightful holiday unfortunately cut short due to being my partners' first holiday and missing our children, so only managed to stay 2 nights however my partner is very Interested in going again with the kids, something which she was totally against to begin with. I went in early October and the weather was outstanding, I had a maximum of 3 hours on the beach and caught a tan!

Highly recommended place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Tickey Boo and found the accommodation clean and tidy on arrival. The house fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay including air conditioning. This was essential as the temperatures were hitting mid 30's daily. We were travelling with our one year old son and found both the house and local area were very child friendly. The house has two bathrooms which were also spotless on arrival and both of which contained showers. The ground floor one was very useful when returning from the pool. The house has a lovely front garden with patio table and chairs and there is also a private roof top terrace with a seating area, ideal for enjoying a evening vino.

Tickey Boo is located in a beautiful complex and the shared pool was in a lovely setting. We found the pool area very friendly and it had a small child's pool too. The pool area was clean tidy and very secure as it was only accessible to the residence via secure gate.

We found the house was only a short walk form all the local amenities. In fact one of our favourite bars was only a 2min walk away. The shops are a little further about 10mins in the main square. We were a little worried that we may have difficulty finding things for the baby but they sold everything we needed or could think of. We ate out a few nights and found there were a large variety of restaurants all of which very reasonably priced especially if you ordered the "Menu of the day".

The beach is also about 10mins walk Again we found the beach was extremely child friendly as its shallow lagoon with small waves which was ideal with young children.

You didn't need to hire a car as most things are within walking distance. However if you were looking to travel further afield you can hire a car so you can explore the area including La Manga and Cartagena .

All in all this was a fantastic holiday for the whole family 😀?

A fabulous house so close to everything

We stayed as a group of 6 adults for 4 days for my 50th birthday in September - the townhouse is on the outside of a lovely complex with pool. The sun terrace downstairs gets the sun all day and there is also a smaller terrace on the roof. The house was modern clean and was equipped with everything we need exactly like photo's. The third bedroom is set up with smaller bunk beds but this was pointed out to us when we booked and as ours was a short stay didnt prove any discomfort. Diane was also very prompt at answering any queries and emails we sent.

The nightlife, bars, restraunts,supermarkets and beaches are just a short walk away.

Transfers were booked through house manager and were spot on as we flew into Alicante (about an hrs journey)

Coast/Beach:

The beach of the Mar Menor is only a short walk away. This is excellent for children and adults alike as it has shallow waters which can be enjoyed by children as it is safe and the water sports for the adults.

The beach stretches for some 5 miles which also has a promenade running alongside the full length (some rollerbladers, cyclists, joggers can be found here). This is dotted with beach bars (chuiringuito's) should you require refreshments.

Travel:

The nearest airports are San Javier (local) and Alicante which is approximately 60 miles. Either airport is excellent in terms of travel and our property can be reached easily from either. We have someone who can pick you up so give us a call and we can organise for you.

Should you require car hire whilst you are visiting the area, there are numerous car hire companies in the area that will can have a car waiting at the airport.

Distances:

The property stands in the spanish town of Los Alcazares enjoying a central position close to all amenities, i.e. Supermarkets, restaurants, banks, etc and the beach. The ancient Roman city of Categena is 10 mins by car. The state capital city Murcia is 20 mins by car. All must be seen if you visit. They can also be reached by local bus which is an experience but easily done. Again if you need any information and you are up for a challenge, give us a call and we will help.

Further Details:

The main square at Los Narejos has a large selection of restaurants from Indian to English and there is a selection of bars. The choice of bars are yours, from typical Spanish to Irish.

The local supermarket is a short walk away - Mercadonna. The local banks - Halifax/Sol/etc are also a short walk away. The local shops/restaurants are short walk away.

There is also the old town of Los Alcazares with its quaint church and marina plus tapas bar/restaurants.

The Sunday markets are held weekly and the local market is held every Tuesday which are well worth a visit.

The property is only a 10 minute drive from the airport and a full airport transfer service can be arranged on your behalf so a car is not essential.

A refundable damage deposit of £200 is required with the balance payment.

We can accept payments by bank transfer in GBP or Euros.

Cleaning is payable locally to Tania who will look after you during your stay and is €80 per stay.

If we are unable to give you the dates you were hoping for, please do let us know as we might be able to provide you with alternative owners in the same Albatros complex.

Cleaning/laundry fee of 80 euros to be paid on arrival to the property managers.
