About The Owner

My wife and I are from Weymouth Dorset and have just bought this delightful cabin

This is the first time that we have embarked on anything like this but because we love having holidays in the west country we wanted to share the experience with others.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2016

Why The Owner chose Hartland

Prior to buying lodge 39 we have had been on holiday to Hartland Forest several times and just fell in love with the area. So when we saw this lodge for sale we couldn't resist it. This is our first year and we wanted to keep our prices low to attract customers and hopefully keep them.

What makes this cabin unique

The property is situated in a tranquil area of Devon offering an opportunity to escape the stress of every day life, relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings.

If you're looking for a quite relaxing holiday try this site, it's very peaceful.

unsure what to think at first

  • 5 of 5

was really impressed, took a while to find, recommend using the site map provided straight away, but once arrived thought was brilliant, clean tidy little cabin, and out of all the cabins there is one of the few better locations, alot all located close together this one is alot more remote. would recommend to anyone and will defiantly be going back at some point.

thanks alot

Lovely place.

  • 5 of 5

We arrived here about 8pm , in the dark so it was slightly tricky to find the lodge but when we did we were so pleasantly surprised. Spacious and very comfortable with the added bonuses of the Xbox and PlayStation plus some board games for when it rained. Would love to come here again.

Absolutely fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

From the point of booking right through to departure instructions my experience of the lodge was fantastic. Immaculately presented and extremely well equipped it catered for our every need. Yes it is remote, but the owners are clear about that, and for us it certainly did add to the peace and tranquility of our stay. I would have no hesitation in giving this beautiful lodge my highest recommendation, and hope to return at some point in the future.

The coast of North Devon is known for it's historic tales of smuggling and wrecking , and famous for its fishing villages , including Hartland and Clovelly which are just 5 miles away . Remembered for its quaint cottages and steep cobbled footpath leading to the 14th century harbour, Clovelly should not be missed by visitors whilst Hartland Quay offers beautiful countryside, rugged coastline with stunning views.' .

Lundy Island can be visited by boat from Clovelly or Bideford Quay. .

If you enjoy visiting gardens and historic buildings ,a trip to Hartland Abbey , Tapeley House and Gardens , Arlington Court , RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Marwood Gardens would be worthwhile .

If you desire shopping therapy then a stop at The Atlantic

(Factory Shopping) Village near Bideford is a must. There you can find many of the main stream outlets and superstores.
