About the property

The Jardins do Golfe resort is set in the landscaped gardens of Vale do Lobo, with the famous Royal and Ocean golf courses within walking distance of the complex and less than 5 km from the golf courses of Quinta do Lago Lake, North Quinta do Lago, San Lorenzo, Laranjal and Pinheiros Altos).

The Golf Gardens offer two outdoor pools and an immense green space where you can enjoy an excellent holiday.

The beach is less than 15 minutes walk (900 meters) along a private path of the resort. It is an easy ride, suitable for all ages and buggys.

The T1 and T2 apartments have air conditioning, a fireplace, free Wi-Fi access throughout the room, a microwave, a coffee machine, a fridge, a toaster, a variety of cooking utensils, a dishwasher, a hairdryer, outdoor furniture, double beds or two twin beds per room (optional) and television.

Guests have free direct access to the pools and bar, as well as free parking.

The famous restaurant "Paixa" (wine and tapas) is located a short 2 minute walk.

Good but could be better

We booked late and getting payment sorted out was a little difficult. Luisa was very good and I eventually paid final installment after my return from hols . The apartment was spotless on arrival and everything was as described. The only things that I feel let it down slightly are the cooking facilities. All that is in the apartment is a top hob with 4 rings . There is no oven !! I only found this out after going to buy a couple of chickens only realising there was no oven when going to cook them. This was a little bit of a problem as my 81 year old mum in law has a medical problem where she is restricted as to what she can eat. There is a microwave there but food was a major problem as you have to basically eat out everyday/night. There is no BBQ either which would of helped us enormously. So you basically have a hob and microwave. On the plus side the pool and bar were good and renting this apt entry was free otherwise there is a charge.You are not allowed to take food to the pool area which was again a problem as mum in law wont eat what was cooked in the pool restaurant.She can only eat basic food. No cheese, dairy, onions and garlic etc. So we never ate there. Please don't get me wrong we enjoyed our stay there but, feel the apt would benefit giving clients the option to cook a decent meal a few times during the holiday to break up the routine of having to get dressed up every evening to get food .It would not need a lot to put right. I am not saying rip out the kitchen area. Just invest in a nice electric BBQ that would sort out the minor problem we encountered . Would I stay there again ......Yes with a bbq definately . I have tried to be honest and hopefully given some constructive criticism which may be of some assistance to both clients and owner .
