Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Spacious Villa with Pool close to Bars and Restaurants.

About Casa Tonica:

With high foliage surrounding the villa, Casa Tonica boasts supreme privacy and a wonderful sense of well-being. Swaying palm trees dot around the grounds, lemon trees are conveniently placed for the all-important Gin and Tonic, a summer kitchen with brick built BBQ and delightful natural pergola provides a shady dining area whilst still enjoying views over the pool – all this can be yours if you book a week or two at Casa Tonica! Plus there are plenty of chilling out (or warming out!) areas around the villa, including two raised terraces – one with views of the iconic Montgo mountain, the other providing delightful views of the pool and garden. To the side of the villa is a grassy area – ideal for games of badminton (rackets provided), football – or even boules. There are further patios around the villa providing sun all day and all evening long. And the lovely pool area and main terrace are all south-facing, which helps you really make the most of the sun this area is blessed with. So let’s get onto the pool ... a larger than average 9 x 4 pool which will be a sure hit for all the family. Why not try a game of pool volleyball, or relax in an inflatable, soaking up the sun? The villa really provides fun-filled outside living!

Inside the villa will not disappoint either. The kitchen provides ample storage for all your provisions and has stunning hi-gloss white storage cupboards, very well-equipped kitchen, pantry for further storage, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher – all while providing sunny views over the garden. Plentiful crockery, dining sets and lots of useful kitchen utensils to make dining at the villa a very pleasurable experience.

The lounge/diner/naya provides a truly spacious and welcoming space to relax out of the sun – whilst remaining beautifully light and airy with the light streaming in from the numerous windows. Cool tiles help keep the temperature down – but if you are here off season, then you may be inclined to use the cosy open fireplace and snuggle up and watch TV in these comfortable surroundings. Worry not, there is gas central heating for those slightly chillier spring/late autumn evenings.

The ‘Inside Naya’ benefits from wall to wall windows throughout, plus patio doors at either end – both leading to raised terraces. Ideal for morning breakfast! One of the terraces looks out over the garden and pool, and the other one has views of the iconic Montgo mountain.

There are three bedrooms in the property – the master has a kingsize bed and also benefits from a stylish shower room with WC and wash hand basin, plus vanity area. The second bedroom is a twin room with single beds that can be pushed together if needed. The third bedroom also has a kingsize bed. All three bedrooms have spacious integral wardrobes. The property can accommodate 6 people.

Out and About: A 2-3 minute car journey brings you to the famous Arenal, with a large array of stunning restaurants - you will be spoiled for choice! There is also a gorgeous, well-priced restaurant 'L'Escut' within a 5-minute walk from the villa and within 10-15 minutes walk there are a variety of other restaurants! You can also easily walk to the Arenal from the villa - it takes around 25 - 30 minutes and it's all slightly downhill, so it's easy, even in the sun - or why not head down there via Cala Blanca beach, stopping off at the beachbar on the way? A taxi back from the Arenal will be around 7 - 8 euros.

The Port of Javea is only a short distance from the Arenal too - and well worth a visit, where you will find a number of exquisite restaurants with sea views. The Old Town of Javea (or Xabia as it is also known) is also totally charming and beautiful with a number of typically Spanish restaurants and beautiful cobbled streets.

Or why not simply walk down to the beach with a picnic and a bottle of wine? You can walk to the sea in under 15 minutes from the villa and there are some very peaceful, secluded spots with benches - ideal for whiling away a summer evening!

About Javea

Javea is often regarded as the jewel of the Costa Blanca. Situated around an hours drive from both Alicante and Valencia, the area is easily accessible by car whilst still remaining full of Spanish appeal. Javea is split into three distinct (and equally charming) areas: The old town and historical quarter – full of tiny, quaint, cobbled streets and Spanish tapas bars and restaurants, as well as large shopping areas and shops for anything you might need. Then there is the Port – which really is a fantastically affordable treat. Sitting out at one of the many cafes, restaurants and beach bars overlooking the marina and the sea, is one of the many memorable ways to spend your holiday. Then of course there is the famous Arenal beach which is popular for sunbathing, swimming and watersports, with a simply stunning backdrop of the Montgo mountain and an enticing and bountiful array of quality restaurants, cafes and bars all within a short distance.

Further Afield …

By the time you’ve explored all that Javea has to offer, have spent many a relaxing day around Casa Tonica and chilling out around the pool, have wandered along the coastline from the Cala Blanca beach, exploring the coves and making your way up the rocky walking trails with stunning far-reaching views, there surely won’t be much time left to explore the wider area. However, if you do find yourselves with a little more time than anticipated, then the a day trip to the little fishing village of Moraira is a fantastic option, or perhaps wander into the larger Denia – from there you can even catch a boat to the island of Ibiza! Or if you are after something a little more rowdy and action-packed, then Benidorm is a mere 40 minute drive away.

About Chloe Hibberd

My name is Chloe Hibberd and until recently my husband and I ran a lettings agency in the South of England. On selling the business we purchased Casa Tonica and plan to spend some quality time here, as well as letting it out for guests!

Chloe Hibberd purchased this house in 2016

Why Chloe Hibberd chose El Tosalet

We love Javea!! We absolutely fell in love with Javea through our holidays here and there really was no contest - it was Javea or nothing!! The area is just so relaxed, the climate simply exceptional and the quality of living superb. We chose Casa Tonica because it literally had everything we were looking for - it ticked every box imaginable! It's walking distance of the beach, restaurants, it's completely detached, the pool is amazing and there is plenty of space around the villa so it feels really private and roomy. We drove estate agents mad seeing villa after villa and turning them down - but as soon as we saw Casa Tonica it was love at first sight. We raced down to put a deposit down before anyone else could!! We feel really blessed with such a lovely property and are eager for guests to feel the same too - I always try and go above and beyond to make sure guests have an amazing visit. It's a real labour of love for us and so rewarding when guests write to me and let me know what a fab time they've had.

We were 2 couples who stayed at the villa 1which worked perfetly it had everything we needed both inside and out. The pool was fantastic so warm. We were there and the temperature was higher than average, the air conditioning was certainly needed so glad we booked a villa with it.

The information provided was very useful we tried the recommended local restaurant and it was very good. Would recommend this villa you won't be disappointed.

Owner's Response: Hi David! Thank you so much for your review! I'm thrilled you had a lovely time in the villa - you certainly had a super-hot week, so I'm glad you enjoyed the air con and pool no doubt :)) Yes, the local restaurant is literally a few minutes walk away and seems very popular! Hope you manage to come and stay again one day. All the best, Chloe x

Fabulous villa. Great outside space

  • 5 of 5

Excellent villa with everything you could possibly need. Outside space fantastic from the larger pool, outside eating area near the BBQ to the terrace with the Bose speakers. BBQ was used many times and each night finished with drinks on the terrace listening to music streamed on the wifi through to the nose sound system with the outdoor speakers. We would definitely recommend this very private villa and the area it's located. The whole experience was 1st class and especially dealing with Chloe the owner. Communication from booking to when we departed was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return.

Total relaxation!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday staying in this beautiful villa. Communication with Chloe has been excellent from our first enquiry to any questions throughout our stay replies were very prompt and helpful. The villa is very well equipped and comfortable we spent most of our time outside on the many comfortable chairs/loungers , the pool is immaculate and stunning the kids were never out of it! This was our first stay in Javea it is a great location with so much to do would definitely recommend car hire and would visit Cala granadella and Cala barraca beaches both beautiful! We also walked to Cap Prim just up the road stunning views! So much on your doorstep 15 min walk to Cala blanca although pebbles the coves are crystal clear, the arenal beach is a beautiful sandy beach with fab waves! Kids also enjoyed going on the inflatable in the sea at the port side. The old town is also special especially late Saturday night great atmosphere. Loads of restaurants to choose from we walked to the arenal from the villa (40 mins) easy walk stunning views often walked back or got a taxi (€10). We would definitely recommend this villa the owners are extremely friendly and helpful thank you for sharing your special villa will be back!

Un petit coin de paradis

  • 5 of 5
