An absolute gem of a cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage in a great location. The owners have managed to retain all the charm and quirkiness of this period cottage but have furnished it with all the modern conveniences. The property is extremely well maintained and was lovely and clean. There was a loaf of bread and a cake waiting for us on our arrival with butter and milk in the fridge plus a range of teas and coffee. A very welcoming touch and most appreciated after our drive down.

We didn't get to meet the owners, but the communication from Kerry was excellent and she really made us feel welcome through her text messages and emails. I'm sure that Meadowsweet Cottage will remain on our list of favourite holiday properties and we'll be back for another visit.

Sweet stay at Meadowsweet

  • 5 of 5

So excited to stay in a Grade II cottage with all the old features yet modern cons in the kitchen. The cottage is clean and well maintained. The lounge and main bedroom are very spacious. Watch the low beam but that is part of the charm of the cottage.

It is located in a lovely village with a good pub ( Two Sawyers ) within walking distance.

The owners were very helpful with information before our departure from Australia and very obliging in every way.

Delightful listed country cottage in Pett

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a superb 3 nights at Meadowsweet Cottage recently which was a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. We enjoyed relaxing in the characterful lounge in front of the gas log burner after long days out walking. The modern kitchen was fully equipped if you wanted to cook at home. The bathroom was very clean and modern with lovely towels. Would definitely return for another stay in the future. Many thanks Jo and Rob

Cosy, full of character- simply perfect

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is beautiful, clean and with all mod cons, but still full to the brim with quaint character. The owners were kind enough to leave us a few essential in the fridge. The village is lovely and quiet and very convenient for days out to the surrounding area. We felt completely relaxed after just a few days it was perfect, can’t recommend it enough.

Comfortable Grade 2 listed cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a delightful old cottage with a modern kitchen extension. There are some quirky features, such as a scythe hanging on the wall and a low beam entering the bedroom (Watch out!) The kitchen has all you need with modern electric hobs and cooking equipment. There are two pubs in the village and both are fine for pub food and the beer is good. We enjoyed lots of delightful walks along the coast.

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights at Meadowsweet and wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage is lovely, with lots of character and good facilities. Pett village is really nice with 2 good pubs a short walk away and the beach just a quick car journey down the road.

We would definitely come back.
