It is a very nice flat, wide, new, clean, comfortable, with very nice views looking at the sea. Totally exterior with two big terraces with TENTS, and full of light. From the beds at night you can see the stars. Whole year good wether. A calm and pleasant place.

Two nice big and private terraces. And besides Common Areas to share with 4 more flats. Roofed swimming pool, with salt treatment, relaxing hot tube for six people. Big terrace wth a lot of flowers. Comfortable tumbonas to take sun. Nice view looking at Tenerife and La Gomera. Very near to every where. Perfect ubication to visit The Nice Island.

nice apartment, friendly owner, pleasant stay

We had a very memorable week in La Palma, and the apartment was a perfect base for getting everywhere on the island by rental car. It is part of a block of flats with a shared common deck/pool/jacuzzi area right next to the owner's house. Elena welcomed us and explained everything about the apartment and nearby amenities in great detail. It is clear that she cares about her guests having a good experience and about the house (which has her shop on the ground floor). The apartment has a modern but eclectic feel to it, which we really liked.

There is a great view from the balcony (although probably that's true in a lot of places in La Palma) and the apartment was clean and came with everything we needed. We did a fair bit of cooking and could have done with a few more cooking utensils, but the basics were all there.

Yes, there are little microscopic ants in the kitchen which are very good at finding every crumb left out on the table/counter. Personally, we didn't mind them at all, we just had to be super-careful to store all our food in the fridge or in ziploc bags and to clean up right after we ate.

Our daughter liked the jacuzzi (which wasn't really hot) but we didn't otherwise make much use of the common areas as we were mostly out during the day.

Santa Cruz, the Cancajos beach, some decent restaurants and a few other attractions are minutes away by car, but we managed to tour pretty much the entire island by driving around. You definitely need a car though - there is no public transit or things within walking distance. Driving and parking on the island is easy - roads are good (but steep and curvy!) and roadside parking was available everywhere we went (note that hiking trailheads tend to get jammed up by noon, so get your walking shoes on early!)

One minor gripe was the relatively thin walls, which made it a bit difficult to fall asleep when the neighbors (other renters, we assume) decided to make lots of noise after midnight. Otherwise, the apartment was pretty quiet - you couldn't hear the airport noise at all even though you can see the airport from the balcony. The road in front of the house is a local highway, but is relatively low-traffic even compared to a side road in most other places in Europe.

Don't stay here/ no te quedes aquí

Ants were all over the apartment, which made food preparation impossible. We bought a pack of cookies and soon found a swarm of them on the food. The ants also crawled on our electronic devices. The hot water lasted about less than 2 minutes in the shower, so we had to take cold showers. The apartment was also very cold, the one space heater providing inadequate heat. There is nothing to do in the area--need a car to drive at least 15 minutes to the city of Santa Cruz de la Palma. We filed a confidencial complaint with VRBO. Interesting that the owner reviewed us as guests only AFTER I filed the complaint. Food for thought...

Había hormigas por todas partes asī que no se puede preparar comida. El agua caliente en la pequeña duraba nada más que un par de minutos. Nos duchábamos con agua fría muchas veces. Hacía mucho frío en el piso y solo había un radiator portable que no daba mucho calor. No ha nada que hacer en la zona. Hay que conducir por lo menos 15 minutos a la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Palma. Hemos puesto una queja confidencial con VRBO. Es interesante que la dueña haya un escrito una critica de nosotros DESPUÉS de que puse yo la queja con VRBO.

Owner's Response: Laura, tú sabes perfectamente que lo que dices no es verdad. Tengo unas evaluaciones súper buenas tanto aquí como en otra aplicaciones. No se lo que quieres de mí. Por qué quieres hacerme daño? Que buscas dinero? Es totalmente injusto lo que estás haciendo. Es la primera vez que me pasa esto y espero que la ultima. Yo sugiero a los demás anfitriones que no alojen a estas personas, problemáticas y levantan falsos testimonios. Como mujer te tendría que dar vergüenza, como dejaste el cuarto de baño,...y tu lo sabes muy bien. Mi consejo: hija no vayas así por la vida, no te aportará nada bueno.

Car: recommended

An environment of tranquility and good weather, a few minutes we Cancajos where you can do different water activities like buces, fishing .. We also have very close Santa Cruz de La Palma, the capital where you can enjoy museums, shopping, restaurants, cafes ... Very close to the mountain where rich contemplate nature, hiking, watching the sunrises and sunsets of La Isla Bonita.
