About Dinah Hancock

I was born in Bradford-on-Avon and have lived here all my life. I now have the opportunity to share this great place with others and my aim is to provide high quality accommodation in a peaceful and tranquil location.

Why Dinah Hancock chose Wiltshire

The Old Chapel combines period charm with modern convenience in a really lovely location. It is located in a car free road ensuring total peace and quiet. The chapel is Grade II listed and built of the local stone with attractive arched 'ecclesiastical style' windows and exposed beams in the second bedroom. It benefits from facing south and enjoys sunshine throughout the day.

Our favorite in England!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four spent two weeks in England. Three of the nights we were lucky enough to stay in the Chapel. It was wonderful! I'll start with the location. We had chosen the location based on its proximity to Bath, but fell in love with Bradford on Avon. There is a wonderful walking path down to the town with beautiful views. We enjoyed the restaurants there and the area was lovely. We wished we had more time to explore. The home is lovely, spacious, and has the best beds and linens. Everything that we needed was provided, and the grocery store was just a quick walk away. We truly enjoyed our visit.

First class comfortable accommodation.

  • 5 of 5

The Chapel is truly a home from home and really comfortable. The owner provided a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers which was greatly appreciated after a long journey. The towels, bed linnen, crockery etc are good quality. The Chapel is also in a pleasant quiet area.

It is situated a few miles from Bradford on Avon and only 15 minutes by car from the centre of Bath. It is also only 30 minutes by car from Longleat.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Chapel could not have been better! The apartment itself could not have been more tastefully decorated nor more thoughtfully equipped. It was wonderful to be able to sit out in the terrace to enjoy a drink and the interior was so comfortable. The location is also perfect. We were able to take long ambles through the countryside but also walk down to the station to take one of the many trains to Bath. Of the many places we have stayed over the past four months of travel, this was the best! ❤️❤️

Superb!!!

  • 5 of 5

Dinah's place is fantastic! She has done a beautiful job of decorating the Chapel. The furniture and linens are high quality,, yet relaxed, comfortable and homey. From the welcome basket with all the basics to get us started to detailed instructions on how to walk to the village, and dining and touring recommendations, everything was perfect. Dinah also went the extra mile in receiving medication we had left behind elsewhere and had it waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived. This a great place to relax in and tour the area. Highly recommend.

The market town of Bradford-on-Avon is steeped in history dating back to Roman times. It owes much of its prosperity and beautiful architecture to the wool trade. Today visitors enjoy exploring the historic buildings, interesting shops, numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs which are scattered around the narrow streets. The Kennet and Avon canal which played an essential role in the wool trade now offers visitors the chance to walk, cycle, canoe or take a boat trip through the beautiful countryside.
