Overview

About the property

Perfectly located for Stratford, the Cotswolds, Warwick, the NEC and Cheltenham.

Middle Wymson House is set in the secluded grounds of a hIstoric Grade 2 listed thatched farmhouse in the pretty hamlet of Wimpstone surrounded by some of Warwickshire's most delightful countryside.

The house is perfectly located for Stratford upon Avon for everything Shakespeare, riverside walks, the races, busy pubs and fabulous restaurants. If this is not enough the Cotswolds offers charming villages and historic houses for a little more culture. And if the city life is more to your liking, Birmingham and the NEC are just under an hour away and Warwick, Leamington Spa and Cheltenham are a lot closer.

The House overlooks the paddock where you can watch over the alpacas and pygmy goats. All are happy to be fed and cuddled at anytime!

Having undergone complete renovation the house leaves you wanting for nothing. Modern fittings are perfectly balanced with the charm of an historic building. It offers you a luxurious home with three beautifully appointed bedrooms all with en-suites, a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area with stunning vaulted ceiling and mezzanine floor. You can enjoy the rural life; nestle by the roaring fire or relax outside in the paddock watching the alpacas graze and the goats play.

If you want to be more active there are walks and cycle routes from your doorstep. The River Stour just two minutes away is also a favourite spot with local fishermen. Your tennis court is also available for a quick knock about (tennis racquets are provided) or you can play all day.

Family weekend

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned home from a 2 night break, surprise birthday party for 6. The property works perfectly, with a superb day room kitchen, with wood burner and lovely natural light. Upstairs the lounge area is comfortable and links beautifully with the day room. The furnishings are beautifully simple and work with the style of property. Bedrooms with super ensuites, great showers. Kay and Brian, make you feel very welcome and the grounds are lovely including the goats and alpacas. We did use the tennis court, which is a lovely addition. We would definitely return again. Thanks so much.

Beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

A lovely property in an idyllic setting. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The lounge is fairly snug for a large group of adults but plenty of space elsewhere for people to spread into. Kay was on hand to make sure we were comfortable and eager to make our stay a success. The alpacas and goats were an added bonus - lovely characters and they were very comfortable with our dog which was mesmerised by them.

The property was in a great location with walks in the Cotswolds on the door step and Stratford only a short drive away. Kay the property owner was very welcoming and very helpful providing local knowledge of the area. The tennis court and alpacas were an added bonus !

Beautifully renovated and very clean

We were a group of 6 friends and this property was ideal. Short drive into Stratford. Brian was very welcoming and gave us a lift to the excellent local pub. We will surely visit again.

Beautiful location and owners extremely accommodating!

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this home!! There was ample room for 6 of us. Everything you need is right here, and the friendly owners even welcomed us with a bottle of wine and supplies of tea, coffee, and milk to get us started. The goats and alpacas were a draw for the kids, and the tennis court was a bonus, too. Lovely country walks are right on your doorstep and there are numerous places to visit. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
