Overview

About the property

Amazing view!!! It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dinning

It is a brand new apartment (120 square meters) with amazing view. It is located in a central road of Athens, which can be reached by metro (Acropolis Station), Bus, Tram or Taxi. It is 3 minutes walking distance from the museum of Acropolis (and metro station Acropolis), 5 minutes walking distance from Acropolis and Parthenon, 5 minutes walking distance from Syntagma square where the Parliament and the National Garden are and 3 minutes walking distance from Zappion and the Panathenaic Stadium (where the classic Marathon ends).

It is fully renovated. It has 2 bedrooms with a king size bed each and big closets, 1 bathroom (with shower), 1 WC, hair dryer, laundry, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, toaster, squeezer, coffee machine, vacuum cleaner, a dining room where you can have lunch or drink your coffee enjoying the view and a spacious living room with a TV 49 inch and 2 balconies. There is internet connection (Wifi), air conditioning , heating, hot water (all day) and security door. In the building there is an elevator, which takes you to the 3rd and last floor where the apartment is. It is fully furnished, with two double king size beds (1.80m. width, 2.00 m. length), two comfortable couches in the living room and one big dining table for six persons, which can also be used as a desk. All spaces have big windows from which the sunlight comes in and illuminates the apartment. It is a luxurious, cozy and spacious apartment with all necessary comforts to enjoy a relaxed and delightful stay. The apartment is located in Plaka, which is the old historical neighborhood of Athens, around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, with labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. Plaka is built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens. It is known as the "Neighborhood of the Gods" due to its proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites. It has also many restaurants where you can taste the traditional greek food, as well as bars, cafes and shops. Very close to Plaka there is a picturesque area called Anafiotika. On the other side, 5 minutes walking distance there is another Athenian neighborhood called Koukaki where you can find many small cafes, bars and bistros. Furthermore, near the apartment there are two mini markets, one grocery store, a pharmacy, pastry shops and meat market, as well as restaurants and shops. An informational leaflet with all exact locations and maps will be provided upon your arrival.

Many Athens centre nightlife hotspots (such as Plaka, Thisseion, Monastiraki, Psyrri, Gkazi and Kolonaki) can be directly reached by foot, Metro or bus and trolley.

There's also a bus station, which can transfer you to the southern suburbs of Athens, such as Glyfada Voula and vouliagmeni ,where there are organised beaches to enjoy the sea and the sun.

About ΤΙΝΑ LIVA

My name is Tina Liva and i am a mother of two wonderful children.I was born in Athens and as a child i lived in this area of Athens since 18 years old, that's why i love it.Now i live in the suburbs.I studied economics but i am not working.I have a few properties from my family and i love to renovate them, decorate them and rent them or live in some of them. I love my country because of the sun, the sea and its culture and history and i hope you'll love it too !!!

ΤΙΝΑ LIVA purchased this apartment in 2016

Why ΤΙΝΑ LIVA chose Plaka

i love this property because it is in the old neighborhood of Athens,Plaka, under the Acropolis. It has a breathtaking view to Hadrian Arch, the Temple of Zeus and Acropolis. It is a romantic area of Athens because of the old buildings, the ancient ruins between them and the narrow streets. It is very nice to walk in these streets of old Athens and have a coffee or a drink or eat at the small taverns and restaurants and taste the traditional greek cuisine.I recommend it to you and i wish you a pleasant stay in Athens!!!!

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is located in the historical centre of Athens so it is very close to all museums and temples .It is 5 minutes from the Acropolis museum, 5 minutes from the panathenaic stadium,10 minutes from Syntagma square where is our parliament and shopping area and all are walking distance from the house. All transportation means also pass from the house, such as busses, metro, tram, troley and the two flours bus that takes tourists all around Athens and also to the beaches which are half hour away from Athens where you can enjoy the sea and the sun !!!

Location and a beautiful apartment

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is lovely and the location couldn’t be better. The view of Hadrian’s Arch from the front windows is spectacular and the Acropolis view from the back windows is lovely.

The apartment is well appointed and very nicely furnished. Everything is new and extremely clean. Bonus: Netflix for movie watching at night when you’ve had all the sightseeing you can do!

My only comment would be that the noise from the neighborhood and from Amalias street does permeate the apartment. If you are a light sleeper, this area might not be right for you. Even for someone who is not necessarily a light sleeper, do yourself a favor and bring a set of ear plugs or a white noise machine.

The location was perfect for watching the military parade on March 25 and for exploring Plaka and all of the tourist sites that we wanted to see.

Tina was very helpful and got us checked in right away.she was available by phone for anything we needed. A great stay in Athens!

Comfortable, Modern Apartment

  • 4 of 5

My two daughters and I enjoyed a week in this comfortable, modern apartment. The views are remarkable from every window and we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony overlooking Hadrian's Gate each morning. The location is ideal for exploring Athens; sights, restaurants, bakeries, and museums are all within a twenty minute walk. The road noise and people leaving a venue nearby in the early morning hours were more disruptive than I expected but these inconveniences were minor considering the location, cleanliness, and comfort of the apartment. Tina made herself fully available and luckily we did not need her assistance during our stay beyond arranging airplane transfers.

Owner's Response: Samuel and his 2 daughters stayed at my apartment for a few days. I met Hannah, who arrived first. She was very friendly and polite and we communicated very well. They left my place in a very good condition , so i highly recommend them to other hosts. For the noice i have put double glazed windows, but if one wants to live in the center of the town, he cannot expect to be so quiet all day long.

Great views in a modern 2 bedroom

  • 5 of 5

A great property for our 3 night stay in Athens. The photos are exactly what you get... the views and all. My parents were thrilled with the place. Tina is super charming and communicative, she even managed to get us back into the apartment quickly after I stupidly locked the keys inside. She also helped with our airport transfers and accommodated our late night arrival. One caveat for travelers, if you have trouble sleeping with some traffic noise, this property is on a Main Street. We weren’t bothered by it and simply turned on the fan in the a/c unit, but very light sleepers might find it inconvenient.

Luxurious apartment and super location

  • 5 of 5

Tina is so helpful with directions, information and we are thankful for her having Yannis pick us up at the dock. He also gave us tips about Athens and was so helpful in getting us to the airport before 7 AM!

Our stay was so enhanced by being in such a beautiful place with views of the Acropolis and Hadrian's Arch especially when lit at night.

What more could we ask for?!

We highly recommend staying here.
