Overview

About the property

In one of the most beautiful and photographed corners of the ancient village, this typical stone lodge rises with two terraces that will make you appreciate the view, the sounds, the noises, the silence and the scents of one of the most beautiful alleys in the "La Terra "which is the first and original medieval neighborhood of the white city near the entrance of Porta Nova (14th century), but at the same time it will make you reach the horizon beyond the unforgettable mountains and sunsets through the sea.

I would like to clarify that it is a typical and picturesque little house of the historical center on two floors, with irregular and slightly higher irregular stone staircases, barrel and irregular ceilings, the lower doors of the standard but that are remained original by choice, we did not want to upset the spirit of the place, and 'why it is appreciated only by those looking for this tip'.On the first floor are the bathroom and the bedroom with a window overlooking the alley often crossed from tourists who then stop to photograph our corner with the particular of the "hanging Pergola" under the adjacent arch, on the second floor there is the kitchen with the retractable table, two vintage armchairs, the fireplace, the sideboard and the glass door that leads to the first terrace overlooking one of the most beautiful alleys of the white city, where you will have a table to enjoy relaxing breakfasts, dinners ..., the woodshed, a small armchair that will make the your readings, or wi-fi connections, from the terrace you can access the terrace where you can enjoy the view, the sun of Salento and pleasant moments of pure relaxation on the deck chairs and if you also want the barbecue or just in the company of fire a small hearth.

The "Caseddha" is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic and relaxing holiday, in the summer enjoying the sea of the coast and the picturesque nearby villages, where you can appreciate the traditional culture such as Cisternino, Ceglie, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Monopoli, Locorotondo, Polignano and the caves of Castellana, we recommend the archaeological park of Santa Maria D'Agnano, where you can see the oldest mother in the world dating back to about 30,000 years ago

Not far away are the Baroque Lecce 70km, Matera 120km and Grottaglie, the city of ceramics.

Back from hiking you can choose of advancing through the narrow streets and the cafes of the old town of Ostuni or relax on the terrace with a romantic candlelight dinner, after admiring the sunset.

In winter you can appreciate the silence of the village and the fairy-tale atmosphere, finding himself to drink a good glass of wine or reading by the fire.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time in this delightful property. It is an apartment full of character, which is spotlessly clean, bright and beautifully decorated. It has a good sized terrace with unrestricted views of the sea. Its location couldn't be better, just inside the walls of this lovely old town and only a few minutes walk from the main square and the many bars and restaurants. Despite its central position, it was extremely quiet, the only vehicles going past being the rubbish collectors. Our flight was very late arriving, but despite having a long wait for us, Paolo and Giancarlo were very welcoming and kind hosts, who provided information on the area, a delicious bottle of prosecco and some very tasty cakes. All communication with them was excellent. A huge thank you to them for all that they did to make us feel welcome.

We loved the area and hope to return.

High quality and authentic

  • 5 of 5

The property is a flat within one of the walls of Ostuni Cite. It is authentic with an historic flavour, but also very comfortable and cool in the hot weather. The roof terrace offers cool breezes and a fine view of the city and the coast.

Excellent Quirky Townhouse

  • 4 of 5

Small, quirky town house with challenging but manageable staircase between bedroom & kitchen (as described in the website's property description). House was pleasingly cool (outside temperatures were 30 degrees & higher) and we were very comfortable when cooking in the kitchen and sleeping at night. Lovely to have a choice of terraces - the more shady kitchen one and the larger flat roof. They provided an excellent contrast in character to that of the house and the views from the top terrace were expansive and much appreciated. We had a very pleasant three days in Ostuni and were very happy in this well located property.

Kleines, charmantes Altstadthäuschen

  • 4 of 5
