Located 10-12 minute drive from Lucca, on the top of the Tuscan hills, BRIGANTE FARMHOUSE is a traditional charming farmhouse that has been skillfully renovated and converted into a country home to offer comfortable hospitality and a relaxing stay, in an atmosphere of quietness and intimacy. The house offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and the Tyrrhenian sea, including the near islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.

Ground Floor: Inviting and bright sitting room with flat screen satellite TV and cozy fireplace.

Spacious dining room with extensible table to sit comfortably 8-10 people, fireplace, wooden beamed ceiling and cotto floor. Professional fully equipped kitchen that opens onto the garden completes this floor. There is also a spacious outdoor covered dining area just outside the kitchen with table and chairs and a round inviting sofa with cushions. On the ground floor there's also a spacious bathroom with both tub and built in shower)

First Floor:

3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (both with built in shower) and 1 more spacious bathroom (but this one is on the ground floor) with both tub and built in shower)

All bedrooms are provided with air conditioning. The whole property including pool area and garden are provided with a very reliable hi speed wifi connection provided by the national phone company.

BRIGANTE FARMHOUSE is nestled among olive groves and vineyards and here you can enjoy a tranquil holiday while unwinding by the private swimming pool sipping a glass of your favorite wine. The private garden is very well manicured while in front of the house a pergola shelters you from the summer heat while you enjoy a delicious meal.

Few steps away from the house there is a 10x5 metres swimming pool provided with lounge chairs and a shaded area with sofa and armchair.

About Mrs Sonia

Hallo everyone! My name is SONIA and I am from Lucca. I run my Lucca Holiday Rentals company that offers exceptional apartments in the heart of Lucca. My goal is to help you fall in love with Lucca – to discover, explore, taste and savor new sights and experiences in this incredible city.

My company began almost 10 years ago when I started to rent my family villa after my parents moved to the mountains when they got retired. I spent there my entire childhood and I grew up there in deep contact with the nature and the history. My father thaught me everything about the birds and the antique trees and flowers of the villa and the smell of the sizzling pans used to wake me up each Sunday morning after my mum started to cook! I was fascinated by her when she was telling me the history of the villa in the past century. I thought this kind of feelings are too precious to let them go so then I had the idea to share my love of Lucca and “la dolce Vita” by finding beautiful apartments , villas and farmhouses in my favorite Lucca neighborhoods among my family members properties. Lucca Holiday Rentals started out as a boutique family company and now there are over 15 people working together. We are a friendly and enthusiastic team who will assist you every step of the way, from your first enquiry to your arrival in Lucca.

Beautiful location, lovely property

Loved every minute of our stay. A bit of a climb on a non paved road to get to the Villa, but Marco was there to guide us. A lovely host, recommended a lovely wine tasting trip to a very local Family run winery, ordered lots of wine to the UK.

Amazing out door facilities, very well equipped villa. Amazing views, really relaxing and peaceful. Lucca is a great place to walk around.

PS. Sonia, the booking manager, lacks a bit of PR. But we never met her in person.

A dream farmhouse in Tuscany

Secluded, well equipped, incredible views, beautiful inside and out. If you are thinking of vacationing in Tuscany with family or a small group, look no further. The owner, Marco was also wonderful and accommodating. Close enough for short day trips to surrounding areas, but you might never want to leave the villa.

Paradise in Autumn

This is an incredible house, in an astonishingly beautiful position, perched near the top of a small mountain, under a forest full of hazelnut trees and wild herbs, looking out across the plain toward Lucca. If you're still looking at the pictures and wondering whether to book it, get a hold of yourself and do it now - it's even better than it looks. Secluded, luxurious, superbly equipped, and a short drive from some of Italy's most beautiful sights - inland and on the coast. I wish I was there right now.

Fantastic villa with amazing views

We had an amazing holiday in this lovely villa. The host, Marco was charming and helpful. The villa was well appointed and spotless and the view over Lucca is simply stunning. The villa is very secluded and quiet and catches the sun for most of the day. The drive to the villa has been mentioned by another reviewer and is best suited to a 4 wheel drive car. Having said that we would love to go back as the area is charming and we didn't have a bad meal out in Lucca!

Absolutely superb in every respect.

The whole experience was absolutely superb from start to finish. Being met and escorted to the property (which would not have been easily found otherwise) by the agent was great. The house was absolutely beautiful, so well decorated, furnished and very well equipped. Every detail had obviously been given much thought and therefore the overall feel was very luxurious and enjoyable. The location was ideal just 20 minutes from the centre of Lucca and all the shops etc.

The position of the property was delightful with stunning views over Lucca and the valley with the mountains in the distance and at night the lights of the city were a fabulous back drop.

The pool was sunny almost all day until well into the evening and was spotless and an absolute joy. The detail of the shaded seating area and high quality sun beds meant that we spent so much time enjoying the pool that we did half the sight seeing trips we had planned.

The house was absolutely spotlessly clean and the owner, Marco, regularly visited to take the rubbish away and dealt with any questions we had.

The villa / garden / pool was generally free of insects, but the great addition of fly screens to the windows was superb meaning we could leave the bedroom windows open at night to enjoy the gentle breeze without being bitten by anything. Air conditioning was there, however with we did not have to use it as the temperature was always near perfect.

The villa is an absolute joy and the best overall we have stayed in, however there is just one thing I would want anyone else looking at this property to be aware of and that is the steep road leading up to it. We have always been very lucky before and amazingly without exception have been upgraded or received a better hire car than expected except for this visit when we were presented by the hire firm with a very underpowered little hatchback and that struggled to get up the hill with 2 adults, 2 children and luggage. Therefore, I would recommend making sure you have a half decent hire car!

THE 2 STEPS to MAKE A RESERVATION:

1. ONLINE BOOKING: book and pay in full online through Homeaway using your credit card (renter has to pay 2.7% credit card fee at arrival). Cancelled booking will not receive a refund.

2. DIRECT BOOKING: Receive a written rental agreement and then decide if to pay a deposit of approx 30% of the rental amount to secure the booking by wire bank transfer or alternatively phone me and just pay a deposit by credit card of approx 30% of the rental amount to secure the booking. No fees are applied. The balance can be paied at a later stage by wire bank transfer or upon arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICIES: For DIRECT BOOKINGS in the event of cancellation, for any reason including health, the deposit is forfeited. In case the cancellation is within 90 days of the start of the rental dates, the full rental balance is payable as well. If the cancellation is over 90 days from the start of the rental dates, the balance will not be requested. Cancelled ONLINE BOOKINGS will not receive a refund. I recommend CSA travel insurance in the event your plans change or emergencies arise.

Prices include: final cleanings after departure of the guests, laundry (towels and linens), wi-fi, air conditioning, sat tv, electricity, hot water, gas, the booking service and the whole assistance of Mrs Sonia and her staff before and during the whole stay. There are no extra charges to pay.

Minimum stay is 1 week.

Winter gas/heating and the use of air conditioning, if used, are charged extra according to comsuption

Legal Notes: Self Catering property: no hotel staff, no maid, no breakfast or meals provided by the owner, no hotel services during the stay.

A fully refundable security deposit of 500 euros is requested against big damages. The deposit is given back at the end of the stay. To guarantee the amount an invoice will be issued.
