I enjoy travelling with my wife. I am a keen sports fan (football, cricket, rugby mainly). I think of myself as a bit of a music buff, although my wife often thinks otherwise! We enjoy the cinema, dining out, long walks in the country and spending time with friends.

Our flat is incredibly convenient for whatever brings you to Bristol. Businesspeople will be close to the location of their meetings, lawyers are less than 10 minutes' walk from the courts. Sightseers are just a few minutes from the historic harbour with its many memorials to the great engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We are close to great restaurants and bars, as well as the theatres and cinemas.

What makes this apartment unique

However you travel to Bristol, this is a very convenient base. If you arrive by car, you may use our private parking space. If you come by public transport, the flat is located 5-10 minutes walk from Temple Meads railway station and 15 minutes on foot from the bus and coach station.

Lovely flat, great location & helpful hosts

This is an absolutely lovely flat, very tastefully decorated and with little touches that make it feel like home. All the mod cons make staying here for an extended period of time, as well as for a short time, an absolute pleasure. Owner's Response: David was a model guest. Over a lengthy stay of two months he looked after the flat well. He communicated well and was patient while a problem with the hot water was fixed. We would have no problem recommending him to other hosts.

Lovely flat in great city centre location

Great location 5 mins from the Harbourside and with the added bonus of free parking. The flat is attractively decorated and in excellent condition. Only criticism would be the uncomfortable seating esp. the settee.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review, John. I'm sorry you found the settee uncomfortable but I'd say your finding is atypical and subjective. We had a guest staying in the flat for two months through February and March; he had no problem with the furniture. Personally, I'm waiting for a replacement hip yet I can get on and off the settee without trouble and find it perfectly comfortable to sit on. I'm not saying that your finding is irrelevant but it's not one I've heard before.

No Wifi

Although the apartment was well appointed, the WiFi was not working as advertised. No alternative, such as an offer to pay for another provider was extended. I paid for one myself. The owner let us know that the WiFi would be attended to after our stay.

Owner's Response: Adele & Brian stayed at the flat for two nights and it was very unfortunate that the wifi didn't work during that time. I discovered the problem just before letting them in; the problem was subsequently found to be the router, which has been replaced. There is no longer an issue. Was it necessary to award the flat only three stars out of five solely because of a lack of wifi? What about the comfortable bed, well-appointed sitting area, bathroom and kitchen?! In truth, the relationship between us never really got off the ground. Adele & Brian went to the wrong address, even though I had clearly told them the location of our flat. When we eventually met up, over an hour later, Brian wanted me to assume responsibility; I didn't and I fear the rating reflects the frostiness which developed then (albeit not helped by the temporary lack of wifi).

very comfortable and great location

This flat is highly recommended. It was spacious, clean and comfortable and most daily needs catered for. It had a very good central location and only a couple of minutes' walk from the waterside area, where there are some nice restaurants, and 10 minutes' walk from St Nicholas market area. Good that a parking space is included and also a small walled garden area outside the living room. Not sure if pets are welcome, as there were dog bowls and food in a cupboard. There was a hitch with hot water on the last day, but overall I was very satisfied and would definitely use it again.

Great location, great flat!

Terrific location in the heart of Bristol, very quiet yet convenient, five to ten minutes from theatres, restaurants, pubs, bus stops, Bristol train and coach stations. A small grocery store is quite literally 2 minutes away in the next door building and stays open most nights till 11, which is tremendously convenient, and they sell an excellent selection of beer and wine. The flat is cosy, comfortable, fully equipped, we stayed for 2 months and felt "at home" and the main floor location is a bonus for anyone who has any concerns about stairs. Because the surrounding area is largely offices, the immediate neighbourhood is very quiet, which is great, but there are plenty of pubs and restaurants literally across the bridge from the flat, so a pint or a meal is steps away. The restaurants in the area range from "just OK" to 4 star, so you'll have plenty of choice. As we have family in Bristol and will be there regularly, we intend to rent this flat again next time we're in Bristol. The area around it is being re-developed with more flats and shops, so the neighbourhood will only get better with time. Highly recommended.
