Luxury self-catering holiday apartment for your Welsh getaway. The Cornmill No6 is a converted harbour building in the friendly and beautifully located town Porthmadog, which prides itself as the gatway to Snowdonia National Park. The apartment is taking favour of the stunning view over the mountains with a scenery that constantly changes over the day as the tide comes in and out of the harbour. Enjoy the view of the steam-train rolling in to the station or go for a short stroll around town for a lovely dinner out. Perfect for those to wish to relax, or for those who are looking for a more active holiday with golfing, kite-surfing or hiking.

Living area

Open plan sitting / kitchen / dining room. Through the stable door into a comfy and spacious living area with two fabulous cream leather chesterfield sofas and an electric log effect fire set into a slate inglenook. Wall hung Smart Tv with Netflix, Amazon (log in to your own account).

Note, fireplace is not suitable as fireplace.

Up two steps to the a dining area with table & four chairs. Well equipped kitchen with electric oven & hob, extractor, fridge with ice box and washing machine.

Bedrooms

Two stylish bedrooms -

King sized bed, with wall hung TV and a fabulous en-suite built into the old vault! The en-suite has a walk in shower, heated towel rail. Separate loo & wash hand basin & a separate dressing room.

A double bedrooms just off the living area with & wall hung TV & en-suite bathroom with wash hand basin, loo & walk in shower, heated towel rail.

On-suites in bedrooms.

New for 2018! A soundproof oak door is fitted between the double bedroom and the walk-in closet. The closet has a lean too roof, and guests have given feedback that the rain was noisy on its roof. With the new door this is solved.

About The Owner

I grew up in Sweden but has lived in the UK since 2008, and this is home now. I'm an engineer in aerodynamics and really enjoy taking the holiday bookings for this flat.

Why The Owner chose Porthmadog

My husband and I got married in 2014 close to Porthmadog, and we love the area. We went back for a second honeymoon and found this building, that had in parts belonged to my husbands family back in the day, and we saw that this flat was for sale and we couldn't resist it. We hope you will enjoy it and the surroundings as much as we do.

What makes this apartment unique

You are in a ground-floor flat with the boats bobbing up and down across the street. Enjoy the view.

very well presented property. Great outlook and location.

Enjoyed the apartment just a couple of small things, the bed in the main bedroom is particularly hard but lovely bed linen, we did go and buy a mattress topper to try and soften the bed. Secondly in the other bedroom there is a lean too which provides extra room but has a plastic roof so when it rains the noise is unbearable and no sleep is possible even with earplugs! Inspite of those problems we had a fabulous time and enjoyed the apartment. Thank you.

Very comfortable and a lovely spot

The apartment was thoughtfully set up and well stocked with what we needed. It was lovely to be so close to the harbour and not far from the beautiful Black Rock Sands beach. All being on the ground floor was great for my elderly parents and they loved being able to go for short walks around the harbour and enjoyed watching the boats. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

Lovely modern accommodation in just the right spot. Lovely view of the marina and mountains.

Very impressive accommodation sleeping 4. Large enough living area. Lovely kitchen and dining area. Tho on description says has dishwasher. Couldn't find one. Fortunately I had my husband there to wash up! Bedrooms good size and 2 bathrooms. The wet room in the vault was wonderful.

2 faults - nowhere to dry clothes. Would benefit from a tumble dryer. Washed one day and took 3 days to dry on the maiden.

Also, the back bedroom suffered terribly when it rained. Leaked in from the plastic roof. And the noise of the rain on the exposed plastic roof meant no sleep. Would benefit from a door

A first class well appointed apartment in a excellent scenic part of Porthmadog.

When we arrived the apartment was spotlessy clean, although dogs are welcomed and one or two comments in the visitors book complained of "Doggy " smells we found no evidence of that at all, the quality of all the furnishing and kitchen equipment were second to none, The two showers were very good, constant very hot water and excellent radiators that quickly warmed up ( We stayed there from 20th to 30th June and we had 8 days and night of rain and it turned cold some evenings), we didnt watch telly much as we had taken our laptops , but if you like television there are three samsung smart tv's, one in each bedroom and one in the living room, we wasnt too taken with Porthmadog itself, we missed the promenade for our nightly walks so probably wouldnt go there again ( You must try Allports Fish and Chip shop a short walk away ) but i think this property would be more suited as a base for people on walking holidays, younger people, not our age, families, if you are thinking of staying there then just do it , you wont be disappointed at all, its a lovely property right alongside the harbour ( 30ft ) across the road from the front door, Elizabeth the owner is a very warm and friendly person and nothing is too much trouble, just ask.

Lovely ground floor apartment. Very modern and well equipped overlooking the harbour.

We know Porthmadog well and so we're familiar with the apartment. Lovely place suitable for four people though there are a couple of low door ways so just as well we aren't anywhere near 6ft! Perfect for our stay. Well equipped, modern, clean and set up with the basics when we got there late at night which was helpful. Very homely and comfortable and somewhere we would visit again. But we couldn't seem to get the hot water to be hot hot. Thanks for a great Easter break! We will be back next year x
