Hafan Dawel is a truly luxurious , very spacious , family designed house that has been independently reviewed and inspected by the Welsh tourism board and certificated as 5 star .Hafan Dawel is a large , beautiful 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom ( 2 bathrooms are en-suite ) new , executive holiday home in the relaxing hamlet of Stepaside . This architect designed executive style property has been superbly in every aspect from bespoke entrance doors , hand made Oak stair case , Villeroy and Boch porcelain entrance tiles , Italian kitchen with integrated Neff appliance throughout including a central island containing , Neff Induction hob , Coffee machine , Steam oven , Fan assisted oven , Warming drawer , Microwave , Dishwasher , Wine fridge , Integrated fridge with a separate fridge freezer and large freezer situated in the garage . The Utility room provides a fridge freezer , washing machine , tumble dryer and sink for your convenience.

Sonos Connect Amp X 3 provide a fabulous music option controlled through your phone , tablet or lap top through Bose speakers.

The lounge provides a spacious environment to relax at the end of a busy day . You can overlook the Pembrokeshire national park through the 3 meter bi-fold doors or relax with the Italian furniture for your comfort . A relaxing place to socialize with those who mean the most in your life or to watch Sky + TV and a full Sky Sports package with the fire on reflecting on your fantastic day and energized by the day ahead .Sky TV and Sky + is available in the kitchen and lounge , with options of playing Sky through the multi media system in all of the bedrooms.

A snug downstairs can provide some respite or quiet location to watch TV , a DVD or just relax with your favorite author. The is also an X box and games in the snug for your enjoyment .

On the first floor there are 2 master King-size bedrooms ( 1 which is en-suite with a Sonos music system in the bathroom , 1 double bedroom ( en suite ) and a single bedroom and a large family bathroom . The second floor contains and King size bedroom and single bedroom with a large family bathroom .

All the bedrooms contain Oak wardrobes , bed side tables and lamps , chest of drawers and / or tall boys. Hangers , mirrors are in all bedrooms and the 3 King bedrooms have hair driers. The bedding is all Egyptian cotton and the towels are of the highest quality , its your home from home and I want you to relax and enjoy your holiday or break..

The house has been designed and built to create a very spacious living experience over 3 floors .Hafan Dawel has a bespoke multi media troughout with multiple wi-fi options via Sonos TP Link and Sky ,

The music system is Sonos and played through Bose speakers providing fabulous sound quality. Please load the Sonos App to your tablet , Lap top or phone to play your favourite sounds ,

The accommodation has been fantastically furnished to the highest standards and independantly rated 5 star by the Welsh tourist board .

Cloak rooms and all bathrooms are Villeroy and Boch furniture and tiles and finished to the highest standards .

Hafan Dawel is the very best in self catering accommodation in Pembrokeshire.

Great , large secure storage in the double garage available for visitors wishing to bring their bikes or kayaks. There are 3 Kayaks available at the property to use free of charge and 19 wet suits which again are for your use.

There is parking for a minimum of 3 cars .

There is outside seating for 12 people with views over the Pembrokeshire Coastal National park , A 12 person BBQ is available to use to ensure you can optimize the experience of outdoor living allowing easy access from the kitchen to the patio through the sliding 3 meter doors to keep those cold drinks flowing.

Situated in the small hamlet of Stepaside, ( 1 mile from the beach at Wisemans bridge ) in a cul de sac, ( the name Stepaside originated from Oliver Cromwell marching to Pembroke with his Army and asking the villagers to step aside to allow his army access ) the property overlooks the National park woodland and the nearby Heritage Park with its historical buildings, which when lit up at night , makes a beautiful location to visit. A footpath opposite Hafan Dawel leads down to Heritage Park which winds its way through Pleasant Valley in the Pembrokeshire National Park and on to Wisemans Bridge on the coast - a lovely walk which takes approximately 15 minutes along a flat , safe , county path suitable for prams and/or bikes. Wisemans Bridge has a lovely sand and pebble beach , a great place to overlook the sea !

Wisemans bridge does have a seasonal shop and the Wiseman's Bridge does serves great pub food.

There is a Michelin star restaurant " Coast " which overlooks the sea , its a 30 minute walk along a flat , safe coastal path or approximately 3 miles in the car .

Saundersfoot is approximately 2 1/4 miles from Hafan Dawel , a beautiful harbour with plenty of food and cafe options.

Hafan Dawel is located just 1 mile from the beautiful Carmarthen Bay of Wisemans Bridge , were you can enjoy all kinds of water activities during your stay at Hafan Dawel .

Sea swimming on Blue Flag award beaches, kayaking to explore the coastline from a different angle, or a spot of sea fishing with one of the many chartered boat leaving from Saundersfoot and Tenby harbours.

Hi,

My name is Ian Sparrey.

After over 20 years in Senior retail positions across the UK and Europe , I wanted to build a holiday business based on putting guests at the heart of everything that is done.

I am originally from Wales ( I miss it dearly and love my winter months in beautiful Pembrokeshire ) and am now based in Stevenage in Hertfordshire.

I have 2 children , my Son is in an Officer in the Royal Air Force and my Daughter is studying Social Work at Gloucester University.

What makes this house unique

For self catering holidays in a rural retreat, this peaceful area of South West Pembrokeshire is the perfect location. Surrounded by peaceful countryside yet still within a mile of glorious beaches and a Michelin star restaraunt.

Stepaside is a small village 3 miles east of Saundersfoot, and belongs to the community of Amroth. Many years ago it was a hive of industrial activity after the Pembrokeshire Iron and Coal Company built the Kilgetty Ironworks here in 1848 but ceased operating in 1888. It is believed that Stepaside got its name from when Oliver Cromwell and his army passed through the village and asked people to step aside so that he could continue his journey to Pembroke. Nowadays Stepaside is a leafy valley ideal for self catering family holidays or short breaks, close to the sea and yet quiet enough to feel secluded.

There is a Michelin Star restaraunt in Coppet Hall which is approx 30 minutes walk or a 5 minute drive

Spacious house in an excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hafan Dawel, even with an extended family group of 10 the house was spacious enough not to feel crowded. It was nice to be greeted on arrival and shown round, as we were expecting to just find keys and let ourselves in. The drinks and cakes were a nice treat too. We cooked meals most nights and found the kitchen to be much better equipped than many other holiday homes we have stayed in!

We loved the location - a nice quiet area yet only minutes from the beach and with several attractions close by. We highly recommend the Mulberry restaurant in Saundersfoot! One of the only downsides for us was that the garden was not securely enclosed and was very close to the road, so with a small child and dog in our party we had to be very vigilant if anyone went outside.

Overall we had a very nice trip and would definitely consider rebooking if we have a big family holiday again!

Stunning 5 star property in a 5 star location.

Well what can we say this 5 star property gave us everything and more, from the moment we arrived met by the wonderful Jill who gave us a guided tour of the splendid property. Jill gave us info on the immediate area and showed us around the Kayaks and wet suits to use at our pleasure which are situated on the lower basement level. Each bedroom was fantastic and the en-suites were on another level. The amazing kitchen is to die for with spacious surroundings as I was cooking the family were all around it was magic. The owner was terrific and answered all our questions and we felt like nothing was to much trouble. We had a few great evenings sat on the balcony with the bbq going drinking a nice glass or two of wine with splendid views. All in all a perfect stay for us and we will 100% booking up again for later in the year. Thanks again Ian.

Excellent for a family holiday equipped for all

A very clean and well maintained property. Greeted on arrival, and given a quick tour of the house. We would definitely recommend this holiday, as it is ideally located for Folly Farm, Bluestone, and the Mullberry restaurant at Saundersfoot.

A beautiful house in beautiful Pembrokeshire, very convenient for Tenby, one of the glories of Wales. The house is very comfortable and well-appointed, and the owner provides an excellent service. Our favourite attractions are Tenby town and North Beach.

A fantastic, spacious holiday home

Clean, tidy, plenty of spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living space. Very large kitchen diner. House is a new build to a good standard. Comfortably get 3 cars (one in garage) at the property. The property has a very green views, and was easy to find. Only about 15 minutes drive from Tenby, and Saundersfoot about 7 minutes which was great for Kayaking (provided at the property). If you get tired of the beaches there's a nice walk (30 mins) to Wiseman's Bridge from Hafan Dawel through the woods that follows the stream that's worth doing. All-in-all a great house in a good location. We'd love to go again.

Perfect holiday home

Very impressed with this gorgeous house , close to the lovely beaches. We visited with friends and their kids and it was ideal.

The house gives you is the space you need when visiting as a group so it was was perfect !

We were lucky with the weather so could sit outside and enjoy the lovely views.

We were met by the owner Ian ,at the beginning of our stay and shown around, he advised on the best places to eat out and shared his knowledge of the local area. It was nice to know if we needed anything he was just a phone call away.

We all agreed we like to return next year!
