About the property

In the spring and summer, when you look at the views from 3 and 3a Sea View Place you may well believe you've landed in the Maldives! The sea is so calm and clear that it's just too inviting not to go and paddle about. From 3 Sea View Place, the living room glass doors look out onto Bamaluz beach so from your comfy sofa you can sit and take in the breath-taking views on offer while sipping your favourite drink.... Tempted?

It's equally spectacular in Autumn and Winter particularly when a storm is brewing with darkening clouds outside, the energetic sea becomes agitated but you can feel protected in 3 Sea View Place by the fuelled wood burner kicking out comforting warmth, the same stylish sofa wrapping you up in its throw while you tuck your feet under its softness and watch the entertaining sights of St Ives in a storm.

3 Sea View Place is accessed from the ground floor with open plan living room and kitchen/diner. From the street level stable door, you walk into the kitchen and walk past the dining table with four Charles Eames style chairs through to the living area with oak floor and inviting wood burner. The twin bedroom, otherwise known as 'Below Deck', is accessed from the living room through a trap door down some paddle steps to what was an old net cellar for the fishermen. It's now a lovely bedroom with gorgeous sea views, two single 2ft 6” beds and an en suite shower room. Beware though, it does have restricted head height of 6 feet and the paddle steps means it's probably not best for the very young or infirm. There are very special views waiting for you from the double bedroom on the first floor. Stripped and painted white wooden floorboards, a Laura Ashley bed with super soft bed linen and fluffy towels, a TV and DVD. The bathroom is coastal themed with Spa bath and Monsoon shower head.

This house certainly has the WOW factor! We felt extremely priviledged to be the first guests to stay in 3 Seaview Place. On arrival we were met by Grace the owner who had been a pleasure to deal with from our initial enquiry and it was nice to meet her. As we went through the front door into the kitchen/dining room/lounge area we were impressed by the space, much larger than we imagined - and the absolutely amazing view straight out to the sea and the beach below. The kitchen was so well equipped with every appliance you could want, plenty of pots, pans and high quality crockery, cutlery and utensils and the dining room table tucked away neatly under the stairs. The lounge area had 2 x two seater sofas, flat screen tv, I phone docking/charger station and a log burner (which we didn't have the opportunity to use). A trap door and wooden steps down to the ground floor revealed the twin bedded room which was spacious enough for two teenagers, with its own ensuite shower room, again plenty of space. This bedroom also had a lovely sized window out to the beach below. When we went up to the top floor we were totally overwhelmed by the main bedroom - again much larger than expected, top quality white bed linen and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There was a large window which had an unbeatable view out to sea and the beach below - to be able to lie in bed and hear and see the sea was just fantastic! A corridor with plenty of storage space from the bedroom led to the main bathroom with a large jacuzzi bath which was an extra special treat. The decor and additional touches throughout the whole house made it such a special place to stay - fresh flowers in every room was a particularly nice touch. Free wifi with a good connection was available throughout our stay which certainly helped with teenagers, as did there being tvs with DVD players in both bedrooms. The location of the house is also ideal - great to be able to watch dogs playing on the beach - much more interesting to watch than people - I could have watched them all day! The beach is less than a minutes walk and we even had a barbecue on the beach one night. The town beach is also a minute away so ideal to pop round the corner with your deckchair and cup of tea! There was also car parking included which was very close to the house, and we didn't have a problem unloading the car outside the house. We had a fantastic stay in 3 Seaview Place and we will definately be returning again as soon as

Fabulous base for a relaxing holiday

What a great place to spend a week in St. Ives! The location is brilliant, the cottage is top spec, and the views are spectacular. We especially loved watching the dogs on the beach from the window. Orange Roofs were very helpful and well prepared for our visit. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic views and location.

Beautiful well equipped and well maintained property in an ideal location, we loved the log burner on the cold November evenings! We required some assistance with WIFI and both Orange Roofs and the owner couldn't of been more helpful. Would definitely recommend this property and will definitely be returning.

Stunning location

This apartment was in an ideal location just minutes from the beach and town centre and only a 10 minute walk from the station. The view from the bedroom and living area was superb. The apartment was clean, tidy, and the bed comfortable. The owners had thoughtfully left a cream tea for us to enjoy on our arrival.

Lovely cottage with fab views across St Ives bay. Super location for town and beaches.

Watched the seals in Balamuz beach from the living room, had beautiful meals in Cafe Pasta, Porthmeor Cafe, The Hub and more, good surf on Portmeor Beach.
