Overview

About the property

Zennor sleeps 4, enjoys sea glimpses, has parking and is 150m from from Porthmeor beach which is accessed via steps leading down the side of The newly completed and extended Tate Gallery.

'Zennor' (3 Porthmeor Apartments) is a beautifully finished and cared for apartment which gives you, our guests, a warm and generous welcome. Every effort and thought has gone into making sure you have everything to make it a special break away whether it's a short break as a couple during the quieter months or your annual family summer holiday.

It is all on one level (with only a couple of steps up to the front door) so perfect for those who don't want to face too many steps once inside your holiday home. With an open plan living room (with the sea glimpses!), fabulously equipped kitchen and dining area with seating for 6, you will feel instantly at ease and comfortable in the living space. Off the living area/ hallway, you have two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bathroom. One of the bedrooms is a twin and has an en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet and the other is a king size bedroom. The Jack and Jill element is a door leading from the king size bedroom creating an en-suite and then a door enters the bathroom from the hallway too. This bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet.

The kitchen has an integrated AEG fridge and freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and electric oven with five gas hobs. If you are a coffee lover then you really will love our Nespresso coffee machine! We provide chef standard knives and cooking equipment so if you don't fancy eating out all of the time, and one of you loves to cook while the other watches, we have it all to hand for your masterchef challenge!

Each room has a TV/DVD so if you each prefer to watch something different, we've made that easy for you too. The living area TV is a Smart one, so with the complimentary WiFi we offer, you are free to browse and choose to watch Netflex, BBC iPlayer, 4OD as well as check your mail or share your experiences on Facebook. For music lovers, we have a DAB Radio and iPod docking station as well as books and games to enjoy whilst listening to your favourite tunes.

We provide you with super soft bed linen and towels and ladies, you don't have to bring your hairdryer as we have that covered too. For the young ones (we have a few in our family!), we can get you a travel cot on request, there is a high chair and also there is a cupboard just to the side of the apartment where you can help yourself to beach goodies during your holiday. If you do have any special requests, then please do let us know when booking, we will try our very best to help.

It will take you all of a minute to get to Porthmeor beach if you're an excited person striding fast to feel the sand between your toes or the surf over your head! For the more sedate and measured person who wants to take in the views on the way to the beach, it will take you about 5 minutes at the most (depending if the views stop you in your tracks..)

Being so close to Porthmeor beach means you are also moments from the Island and its chapel keeping guard of the headland between Porthmeor and Porthgwidden. Keeping the sea on your left, if you walk past Bamaluz beach you will soon get to Smeaton's Pier and the water's edge of the harbour beach. This then leads you to the heart of St Ives along the Wharf front to the cobbled continuation of Fore Street.

St Ives spoils all who visits with a great selection of restaurants, gastro pubs/ cafes, shops, galleries, boat trips, activity providers and people watching benches with convenient ice-cream parlours!

St Ives is one of our favourites with lots to see and do

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was fabulous, fitted to a very high standard. Everything you needed was supplied including beach towels, chairs, windbreak etc. All you need is your clothes. The owners had provided dvds, games for wet days, a choice of books to borrow and even Bluetooth speaker to listen to some music. Would stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful St Ives apartment

  • 4 of 5

Had a lovely stay in St Ives at Zennor apartment. Excellent accommodation, well equipped, spacious, tastefully furnished throughout. Lovely modern bathrooms and bedroom furniture with lovely touches of the seaside. Good location near Porthmeor Beach, as long as you can manage the steep St Ives hills. Would definitely stay there again.

There is only a blinkered view of the sea from the apartment but this may improve when work on the Tate is complete.

A well sited, appointed, managed apartment.

  • 5 of 5

Two couples enjoyed the use of this apartment for about a week and found it a wonderful place to stay. It is located next to the Tate Museum and an easy walk to the town center with all its restaurants and shops. One of the party easily reached the south west path for early morning jogging. (But realize that St. Ives is built on hills and walking to and from town center requires some hill climbing.) The apartment is furnished with everything one would want and is cheerful, comfortable, and well organized: an outlet next to a bed (in the twin room) was especially appreciated by a member who uses a CPAP. The managers, as previous reviews have indicated, are truly helpful and responsive. They answered all my questions quickly and completely while I was deciding about the rental. They provided a list of recommended restaurants for us to consider. We had some trouble finding the apartment (the address is 3 Porthmeor but the entrance is in the back of the buildings), and Sam even called my US number to remedy the problem. I left behind some materials and they offered to mail them to me. A major plus is the parking space that accompanies the apartment. It is located a few blocks away from the apartment (and yes, up a hill), but parking is quite difficult to find in the town and having a space is a major plus. The rooms are a bit small by American standards, but accommodated four adults comfortably. For those who may like vistas, the only water view is a partial one from a patio. But we found that all the features that Zennor offered far outweighed any desire for a scenic view. We would definitely stay again.

Zennor was a delight to stay in.

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as pictured and described. It was very clean and comfortable. The furniture and fittings were to a very high standard and the kitchen had everything that you needed and more. It was the best property we have stayed in and I would thoroughly recommend it. Orange Roofs who managed the property were helpful both prior to and upon arrival at the property letting us know about roadworks which could delay us and asking if there was anything else we needed. I would certainly return.
